Heat added for a the discount over normal prices.

It's a fairly interesting place and whilst I did love seeing the trebuchet in action I have to admit that I really strongly disliked how commercial, more like a theme park and just an overall tourist trap the whole place was. It honestly got to the point that it just felt tacky.

So maybe a word of warning if you're like me and enjoy castles and all that sort of thing, this really might not be to your tastes as it really puts the tourist trash before the historical value and castle.

Have to keep the kids entertained though, and this place is somewhere a family would go. If you like ruins, there's lot of other places out there just for that.

I quite enjoyed it the last time I went.
Last name Warwick so already get it for this price/I live around the corner and I've been a million times before 😩

To be fair then maybe it's just me then but even as a kid I'm certain I would've hated it.

I think on this point though it's simply a clash of viewpoints. Sure, nothing wrong with a family needing to go somewhere but it really doesn't sit right with me to turn an historic castle into a tacky tourist trap.
Please can you help a thick male how do you get senior people discount thanks

Probably not just you, but this is kind of why I really liked it there! More than just ruin, and definitely entertaining. I really like how the staff are generally clearly enjoying putting on the shows. I've been several times with my kids as they were growing up and I'd still like to go again. Pricey at normal times, but at prices like this well worth a visit, although some events are not on until the weather picks up

It's owned by Merlin FFS! Of course it's like a theme park.

I`ve tried to book for the 7th April but is says £18. Any idea how I could get cheaper tickets? thanks in advance guys
Hi i think this deal has expired as it's no longer available as I would like to go but missed the boat as usual. So it's either 2 for 1 via national rail/ promotional packs or attractiontix if you're an odd numbered family. Works out 13.50 per person and you can decide on the day whether the weather is good enough to be out a lot of the day. heat for the deal and heads up. Jay
