No, did check as originally was interested in white machine but the silver model works in our kitchen.

Plenty of buttons and settings to muck around with but we are starting out washing by pressing the power button then the wash/go button (using default cotton setting)

Had it 4 months, great washer

Looks good, but have they put the price up?

Yes, looks like it is £324.99 now. Looks like they are keeping an eye on this site/web activity

Any chance of a dryer (condensing) on offer?

They've been making washing machines for years.

I just got a hotpoint delivered today with a free 5 yr parts warranty when I called to activate they advised that the call out cost is £105 then you have to pay labour on top and you have to get their people out even if you no what part you need, Samsung may be different but might be worth looking at a homecare package to cover extras

Sounds like a bit of a con tbh...

Washing machines are fairy simple, and typically have a few amount of serviceable 'Parts'

If you're good at DIY or know someone who is, you can save yourself a fortune, don't bother calling out those repairmen, unless absolutely necessary, £105+Labour is a joke, better off buying a new one!

Main priority was getting the peace of mind for the parts and labour warranty for the five year period (by which time you are looking for a new washing machine anyway).
LG do an offer for 2 years but some sites advertise them as 5 (the extra 3 years just being for the fixed drum). Hope nobody spots a flaw but so far this has ticked all the boxes

Got this exact machine last week from reliant direct through amazon marketplace for £321 delivered - very nice looking machine and pretty quiet, much better than the 6yr old hotpoint (I got tired of resurrecting from the dead) that it replaced but the clothes come out much wetter than the hotpoint, so obviously take a good bit longer to dry FYI

Banned

25 quid more you can get the 0704 model. Rated 9th best washing machine out them all. 2nd best samsung machine.

Cheers Martyj999, still getting used to all the buttons that can be used (extra spin dry etc) and checking up on the eco bubbles, helps out in hard water areas etc. Review of machine here : youtube.com/wat…S30

If it's a slower spin speed you may well find it will last much longer though so good compensation for the slightly wetter clothes. Engineer told me this and since I got my new machine I only spin at 800rpm and it's 9 years old and still working like new with not one repair

I bought this about 45 days ago for £300, on another HUKD...

So, £324.99 isn't really that great a price...especially when I also got the 5 Year Parts and Labour Guarantee...

Thanks, £22 more but the main thing it's in white

95% of washing machines can be fixed by yourself. Diagnosing can be harder but the usual faults are a snapped belt, cracked water feed inlet valve ( cold weather causes this especially in a garage ) or the CPU board. All parts can be bought direct and easy to fit just got to attempt it and believe in your abilities.

jonbuckle & mysticjenny looks a good washing machine but be weary as it costs £99 more for the 5YR warranty on the link (not covered on Samsungs free warranty as it isn't an ecobubble washing machine )

A good price

Annoyingly it mentions £99 extra for 5 years and also...

Sorry i have to disagree with this statement, i have an 1800rpm machine which i have used upto 4 times a week always 90% of the time on top spin speed and its 15 yrs old and still going strong, repair free for all of its life so far. paid £750 for it (a lot of money then) worth every penny

I would definitely go for the WF0704W7W instead which is apparently a lot quieter and also comes with 5 years warranty from Samsung. Very good review on Reevoo and Samsung sites.

Hi girafelondon, this deal is the WF0704W7W that is definitely covered by the 5 year samsung warranty, the other is the WF0704W7W1 which looks a good deal but is questionable as to whether the free 5 year warranty applies (WF0704W7W not WF0704W7W1 is mentioned on the 5 year warranty claiming site)

Bearing failure must be one of the most common faults. A big job to replace, but if you've got a sealed tub like mine, which is becomming more common, you cant replace them.

Either way the model seems to get excellent reviews and for 5 years piece of mind for around the £300 mark means you are paying a £5.42 a month over those 5 years (or longer) for it excluding the annoying service/repair time but also free parts.
Edited by: "andyinyorkshire" 6th Mar 2013

i bought it for £299 from electro centre 2 months ago, its good one especially with 5 years warranty, but i would rather get the one with 1400 spin...
