Nope, probably missed the boat on most of the cheap pre-orders for that one for now.

I did -- hoping the prices start to drop at some point. Too wrapped up in Borderlands 2 right now, but Watch Dogs is on my list

A lot of people are saying things like that and the E3 demo was misleading but I doubt that was entirely Ubisoft's fault as the next gen consoles are extremely underpowered compared to what they should have been.

I really like the game anyway, it's a lot of fun. Just don't expect anything Earth shattering.

DO NOT BUY WATCHDOGS!! There are thousands of cases of it wrecking PCs and just generally not working at all. I am one of the "not working at all" people. This game is very poorly optimised for PC and if you're like me you will be asking for a refund so save yourselves some time and don't buy it at least until they have patched the hell out of it.

I doubt it has wrecked any machines. One game can't really break a PC.

Great price for the season pass. But I need the main game first. Fed up of wasting time/money on DLC. I never seem to get any decent use out of it.
Ironic a game about hacking breaks PC's !!

I actually really like Watchdogs, I'm enjoying it more than GTA. I was a bit sceptical at first but after playing more I think it's a really good game. Sure it's got a few issues like the video posted above but that doesn't take anything away from the game or ruin the experience at all. Also it's one of the few games where I can actually enjoy doing things other than the main missions and also where I can enjoy playing online. The only negative thing I'd say about it is that the Story isn't that great and is too short. I'd probably give it an 8.5/10

I posted the Season Pass at £11.90 or sommat and it went very cold.

So what you're saying is there are side-activities which are good, the rest is really poor? It isn't even a few issues, the video shows lots of issues (turn on annotations). The biggest issue being hacking is completely worthless which the whole theme of the game is based upon.

Hardly 8.5/10. This game is a 3-5/10 at best especially by Ubisoft's standards.

Not to be rude but your deal involved a VPN and this doesn't.

No I never said it's poor at all, just that the side activities are good and I never usually enjoy doing them in other games.

And a lot of those so called issues brought up in that video are completely stupid and irrelevant, for example -

You cant jump - You don't need to and you can't jump in a lot of other great games.
No Radio, just a playlist - So? It's the same thing just not split in categories but you can customise it
Delayed 8 months - That doesn't make a game instantly worse
Can't punch/fight pedestrians - Again, so what? Realistically why would Aiden want to do that. You can shoot them though
Pointless Moral System - It's not pointless, it doesn't serve a massive purpose but it's not pointless
Assassins Creed running animations - How is this an issue, both are Ubisoft so are bound to be similar and the running in AC is good so the same is fine. GTA and Red Dead have the same running style, no one complained about this being a bad thing.
No cheats - Not a big deal at all, not every game has cheats
Cars stop if you fall on them - Who would carry on driving if someone falls on their car

Now as I've said there are some issues. The reflections in windows, hacking being overly simple, graphics not being as great as they could be, and a few others. That video just seems like it wants to pick at every single tiny thing though, if you do that to every game you can find many faults, but hardly any will actually ruin the game. Calling it a 3-5 is being extremely unfair, it's much better than that, it's better than most of the Assassins Creed series. Most of the bad reviews have come due to high expectations and people looking for as many faults as possible which isn't fair, oh and the most of all, bad reviews have been given due to the graphics which is ridiculous.

I can agree with your issue about hacking though. It's not worthless at all because it is useful a lot of the time, especially when playing on the hardest difficulty. It should and could have been better though, I think there needed to be more hacks and some hacks needed to be bigger and better, but I still think they were good and served a lot of purpose.

I bought watch dogs when it came out. when I tried to install it from disc it started uninstalling and crashing? Who knows why eventually got it to install by cancelling the uninstaller but I never managed to get it working... So then I downloaded it through uplay. Which resulted in awful gameplay stuttering dropping multiple
Frames etc. It took a long time to get it working. In the end I had to uninstall uplay, install it all again to the c: drive, install watchdogs again. Switch to a different AA setting (temporal smaa). Now I am getting a playable experience in so much as the game is running smoothly. But if I try and do missions the game crashes to desktop every now and then which is very annoying. Especially when it is at the end of a mission.

I am shelving the game until patches come out in the hope they will fix it, my request for a refund was denied from uplay support but they have asked for more detail of the crashes etc.

You might be fine with your pc but mine clearly doesn't like something about the game. I've had no issues like this with other games and uplay support aren't the most helpful bunch.

So I would not be in a hurry to pick up this game until it has had some time to get all the bugs ironed out.

Can't believe I'm the only one experiencing these issues... And certainly online forums seem full of complaints. Ubisoft have even released a statement saying patching the pc version is a high priority.

FYI - i5 3570k 8gb ram gtx 670

I'am quite enjoying it , especially as I only paid £5.70

Same. It doesn't meet expectations but I'm enjoying what is available (seeking out the ctOS towers is good fun).
Took a lot of config balancing to get rid of the stuttering though.

I tried nearly everything and thought I sussed it, booted back up and still the same.

Possibly, though VPN is a cinch nowadays...foolproof. Anyway, I've seen games go very hot on HUKD's with VPN required. This post isn't getting too hot so maybe its just not garnered interest or negative anecdotes are making people wary.
