I’ve just been on the website & you can change the language to English. I’m sure it’s only for the site.
Best free VPN with decent allowance?
Access blocked for people outside France.

I know it is a bit late now, but isn't that against EU law?
(I'm secretly hoping that a bit of old fashioned Brexit vitriolic debate will take our minds off the spit-storm that is coronavirus.)
Don't all shout at me at once but what is a VPN?

A Virtual Private Network is a little app that sits on your computer/phone that lets you connect to the internet down a private 'tunnel'. There are two advantages to this
- it is more secure when you connect to public wifi hotspots (ahhh, those were the days)
- secondly you can set it up so that it looks like you're in a different country - in effect, the other end of tunnel pops up in a different country. This means that if you want to access services in a different country then it looks like you are actually in that country. This is useful, for example, if you want to watch the American version of Netflix, or in this case look like you're in France so you can access French sites.
Jworsley Thank you so much for explaining it to me. I'm sorry but I'm still in the dark (I'm in my 70's!).

I just wanted to watch the ballet and opera on offer.

Thank you again for sparing the time. Take care x

The original post was about free streaming of opera in Paris, but you had to be in France (or look like you were in France) to see it.
But now lots of opera companies are doing it, including the ENO.
There is a list of the different live streaming performances in the link.
