This is what is says on their forum;

TVCatchup is now compatible with the IPhone (or IPod Touch). To watch TVCatchup on your IPhone, simply go to:

iphone.tvcatchup.com

There are currently over 50 channels available. The streams are optimsed to work on both 3G and WiFi, although it is suggested that you use WiFi.

Please remember an Uk Tv licence is needed for viweing however tvcatchup dont police this.

If anyone has any problems visit their forums, they will be happy to answer your questions they are such a nice bunch of people.

Also a word of advice with those using 3g make sure you dont go over your limits, even if you have unlimited! Best bet is to use wifi.

Will be of a biggish delay, i wonder if this would actually prevent for paying a license fee, where is the line that watching live tele is no longer live? Streaming? I see a delay from my iphone to freeview around about 30seconds... that isnt live.

It counts as live for legal reasons. As stated on TVCatchup's website, you are required to pay the license fee if you watch content on their site. Although they have no way of checking if you have one, you are still commiting a crime by watching without one.

Also, your internet must be quite slow, as it's only 5/10 secs behind for me...

Why are people wubbling over 30 seconds! Its hardly as if that were to make a difference for the majority of tv programming.

Its a great service which works great over 3G and has a great picture quality.

There are currently over 50 channels available

There are? Not on my Iphone

Im not quibbling, im merely stating that broadcasts that aint live shouldnt need a license :). I never tryed it, but i know of a big delay, 50mb bb.

If you watch over the internet @ ]tvcatchup.com then there are at the moment the iphone/itouch is in the BETA stages therefore not all channels are added and there maybe glitches and a few problems when watching the streams.

A proper Apple App is under review by Apple and should be released very soon.

Once this is released mroe channels will be added to the iphone.

I'm pretty sure it was over a month ago, and even if not, it's still hot!

Perhaps but if it was over a month ago I thought it was ok to re post? Or is there some unwritten rule about voting cold because it was on here before?

I for one didnt know about it so HOT!!!!!!!

Missed this first time round - Hot

This is very ancient news. I'm wondering how come its still not made it as an official iphone app. Apple don't seem keen to approve it. Maybe phone providers not happy at the prospect of more streaming over 3G. O2 have already had several data crashes.

I'm pretty sure they've only been applying to the App store recently..

still need to legally buy a license, but tvcatchup don't submit /collect personal data.

I use it all the time, great, but takes a load of data. Support is good too.
