If it's the new smart box, then very hot indeed! Still decent with the older boxes though they are ten a penny these days....

Price works but no email about a box

Price works but no email about a box

apparently you only get that when you cancel the trial in 14 days
Got the offer of the pass. How long did the email, take to come through?
If you have an existing account I presume people are creating new accounts to obtain the 14 day trial?
Works on the movie pass too. £3.99 per month for 4 months

that's what I did but for me, my trial was probably well over 2 or 3 years ago so I don't feel so bad !
has anyone got it to work??

yeah it works for me - signed up for the trial, downloaded the app and watched an episode of south park earlier on.

will cancel before the trial is up though, as per the instructions in the OP.

so the process is to create a new account, choose the 14 day free trial, …so the process is to create a new account, choose the 14 day free trial, then cancel before the 14 days and then you receive am email for the free box? correct me if I am wrong!

yeah, basically that - it automatically puts you on the 14 day free trial anyway, but you do have to give your card details as part of the sign up process though - i was only charged a 10p card verification fee.

If you don't get the free box I suppose it's no harm, no foul because it hasn't cost anything but i'd certainly have no issue paying £3.49 for one either.
do you reckon it will still work on your existing account if a free trial is available for the movies pass?
They pulled all put the last season of GoT from NowTV earlier this week, so the thread title is not entirely accurate.
what's good about the new versions of these boxes? when subscription is ended, can the boxes still be used in some way or form?

thanks

Well worth a crack at this price, since, as a TALKTALK customer I could watch the movies, via my "Youview" box App?. (it's a shame TT fixed it, so that the entertainment pass CAN't be used in the same way) Perhaps I can then attach the NOW TV box to the other TV? Umm, this could work...this could work well.

assuming this won't be for the newer now tv box?

What indeed... All I get , is taken to a BLANK page, with the title (using a google chrome browser) of "affilinet" ?

Perhaps try a different email address, and a different payment card?.
How is this hot as the link does not work?

maybe because people applied basic common sense and just went straight to the Now TV site?

it appears as a retention deal. not as an offer.

Think when people refer to the ‘new’ version they mean the one with the Freeview tuner built in. This almost certainly won’t be that as they normally go for £40-£50 with a subscription pass included.

Most likely will be the basic box, but this still lets you get iPlayer and other catch up services without the Now TV subscription.

It lacks some features of the more expensive Roku boxes (this is just a NowTV branded, feature limited version of) such as Netflix and Amazon Video as well as video playback from USB and Media Server support.

Often you can cancel these things seconds after you set them up, and are told you can still continue to watch up till xyz

I just bagged myself a 30 day free trial (again) subscription to Amazon prime, cancelled as soon as it was set-up, and was told I can continue to watch, up till Sept 2nd, and am already half way through AMERICAN GODS...PERfect.

All the best
Can you have two of these boxes assigned to the same account ?

well i've just cancelled the pass and i wasn't offered £3.49, it was more like £5.49 a month so i still cancelled. doubt i'll be getting any kind of free box offer. oh well.
Okay theres one thing I'm confused about here. The instructions at the top say 'Step 2: Cancel afteraround 2 weeks'.
Surely if you cancel after the 14 day free trial period then you will already be charged £7.99 for the following month? Or should that say cancel before the 14 day free trial ends. Basically when do you cancel to get the offer? before 2 weeks or after 2 weeks?
Worth adding that Quidco are offering £5 cash back for "new customers purchasing the Entertainment month pass" so even more reason to give this a go.
OK I've cancelled, but where does the offer show up? Am I waiting for an email or something?
