Comments like this are annoying

always will get heat from me, a good gadget for keep fit.

got one 2 years ago, still going strong (on new batteries), kept me interested and motivated turbo training with a broken arm.

Awesome - I have the polar FT4 and I love it, its very motivating, I am doing my first 10k on Sunday and I am 95lbs down, having a HRM really helped me make progress. For £12.99 its worth a pop

Good luck with the run, I can't imagine running, suffering from a bit of agoraphobia and a dodgy knee, but you never know. I've got one of those polar things in my head a bi-polar one hehe

are these available in store only or online.

This thing probably works on Bluetooth, so what are the chances of this working with android phones do you think?

Why do you think it works on bluetooth?

Normal bluetooth is very energy intensive.
You do get bluetooth heart rate monitors, but they need regular charging.

The new blue tooth 'low energy' (Smart, may have another name too) is much better and a single battery will last for ages. But your phone must have at least BT4 and not all of those have this.

The technology commonly used in HRMs in Ant+. If this has that, it's an excellent price for the kit.
A few phones have Ant+ - mostly Sony's, including the new Z1. I think the note 3 might too?

I want a Z1 for waterproof 'sports' use as I already have a Ant+ HRM and cycle kit.

You can use Ant+ with a host lead and a dongle.

Bluetooth the only method of sending data....

I've got a Polar one, it automatically syncs with gym treadmills.

Maybe this one will do the same?

Does Aldi have an online shopping portal? Their website doesn't seem to have this feature.

For £12.99 watch, I would be very surprise if its bluetooth. Probably some sort of RF radio signal.

Zero!

This looks a great deal. Many Thanks.

Thisll be dynamite for all obese couch potatoe aldi sboppers everywhere , check whether theyre just about to have another heart attack as the reach for another tube of pringles;)

Nope. You can use RF.

If this uses an RF band, I wonder if it would work with this? - hotukdeals.com/dea…773

Thursday 26th September is availability in store.

Wow. "Automatic Age Calculation". What will they think of next?

And if it calculares your much older than you are it's going to make you feel really good, make my day watch, pleeze?

Picked one up today - awesome

bought this from Aldi. Works very well, don't think it's Blue tooth, it sync'd up great with the Exercise machines at the Gym, but....as soon as I grabbed the handles which had the HRM pads it defaulted to the HRM pads so I had to make sure I didn't touch the HRM pads, it wouldn't be a problem but the machines at my gym are so poorly maintained the HRM pads sense they been touched but aren't sensitive enough to detect the actual heartbeat. The kit has a handy handle bar attachemnt to fx the watch to so you can view it easily. And and even bigger bargain when my local Aldi reduced them to £8.99 for clearance.

This device uses 5.3khz transmission. Costs now £7.99 in many Aldi stores. Unable to link to my note3 Samsung phone. Is there a way?

My store in Keighley are selling these off for £8.99 (20/05/2015)
