Hot only problem is the time difference for the night matches

Looking at other tournaments on Amazon, they keep individual matches on the system, so you can watch them at more reasonable times.
so you need to have prime?

Hope they do the same with the Ryder Cup, then I’ll be excited!
is it not live on different channel

You get Amazon prime free for a month if you've never subscribed before. Then just cancel.

Oh you
Novak Djokovic going to win, he's the player with the best form going to Flushing Meadows.
Not really free as you still need to pay for prime.
Amazon seem to be branching out with sports. Got some in USA too. Hope it doesn’t push the price up of Prime though.

Iirc, it's on Eurosport this year, then after that it reverts solely to Amazon.

They also have the rights to show a lot of ATP tennis next year, again iirc.
Not on Eurosport in UK

Yes, but there's a free 30-day trial if you don't have Prime & are eligible for a free trial.

It is free with a 30-day free trial (if you're eligible).

Thanks for the heads up op, I didn't know about this.
Eurosport has the European rights excluding the UK to the US Open, so in theory you could use a VPN to watch this on Eurosport player (which would probably be superior as Eurosport has all court coverage).
Thanks OP.

Incidentally, any ‘Federer Fans’ calling for his retirement after losing in the Masters final last week should punch themselves in the face. IMO, of course.

Depends how it plays, if the courts are anywhere near the speed of the Australian open this year it's Rafa or Roger.

WTF are Sky doing (other than trying to save money)? Their tennis coverage was second only to BBC's coverage of Wimbledon. I managed to get Sky Sports in HD for £15pm only to find that Amazon are now streaming matches with no recording facility that take place at unwatchable times... rant over. PS having taken Federer to school in Cincinnati Novak must be the favourite to win. Let's hope it's a Nadal v Djokovic final.

I think when it was originally announced, the reports were that Eurosport still had the rights this year. Certainly the Eurosport UK page doesn't mention it's non UK - eurosport.co.uk/ten…tml

Heart wants Nadal but head says Djokovic. It would be nice if Rafa can get one closer to Federer grand slam record.

Yh he has the best short term form so he's favourite imo.

But Nadal has the best long term (throughout the last 6 months) form coming into the tournament.

And to be perfectly honest, that Wimbledon semi final between the two could've potentially been a different outcome had the roof not been strangely closed on the second day, which provided conditions which didn't favour Nadal.

Close margins. I'm a Nadal fanboy if you cannot tell yet.

I think if Djokovic win this US open he will dominate men's tennis again (bar injury and the clay season).

Interesting. Do we know much about the speed of the courts there?

If my memory serves me correct I believe the speed of the grand slam surfaces go:

1. Australia
2. Wimbledon
3. US
4. French

I still sure hope you're right about Nadal tho. He was unlucky in Australia with the injury withdrawal. I feel like Australia and French are his best shots at a win every year. I sure hope he equals Federer - I like Fed too, just not as much as Nadal

Yep. That's exactly why I super hope he doesn't win! I just want Nadal to equal/surpass Federer and then Nole can do whatever he likes after that - as long as it doesn't involve equalling the former

Imo I think Nadal is the GOAT even though Federer has more grand slams, BUT Djokovic potentially can surpass both players. I think Djokovic will have a longer career than Nadal.

Oh wow interesting. My heart feels Nadal is GOAT, but my head says Federer is because of the better distribution across the slams he's won while Nadal has been focused around French Open.

Feel free to explain why you feel he's the GOAT.

I think Nole can but I also think Nadal and Fed will limit his success a bit the next year or two, and eventually he'll face down good competition with the NextGen and will fall just short of 20.

Earlier on Federer had a few of years winning slams against weaker opposition (yes I know you can only play who is in front of you). That's why I think Nadal is better. Nadal and Djokovic won their slams in the 'golden age of tennis' era of Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Murray.

Yh I see your point. I kinda agree with that. Nadal certainly had the bulk of the golden age against him
Thanks op

Never understand why Murray is put into big 4, he is not even close to the big 3 at all
Is this your prime going to have full replay facility of what has been shown like the eurosport player, if not as stated earlier in the post this is unacceptable as a lot of matches are going to be 2/3am starts (the night sessions, midnight onwards)
Picture quality is kinda ropey on the main screen, but when you select other screens/courts it improves.
No problem here just takes a few seconds to buffer

saying that if you do find the stream poor quality try a refresh
