I still think its a huge shame that we've reached a point where £37 is considered to be a reasonable price for a game.

That's not quite true. If it drops lower on launch day (it won't) then … That's not quite true. If it drops lower on launch day (it won't) then you pay less. A temporary drop between then and now doesn't count AFAIK.

Nigelbutler is correct. You always pay the lowest price at Amazon, even if the price drop only lasts a couple of hours.

How you getting them so cheap on flubit? That's far more than 15% off

Just went in to 'reorder' some of these on amazon (as had existing preorders) and theyve kindly adjusted all the prices in my 'your orders' list. Nice one. Didn't even have to cancel and reorder.

Nothing is wrong with UbiSoft but The Crew is bloody AWFUL. No wonder they ended up having to give it away. I must admit it has unique features in a racing game produced in the past couple of years though - that unique ability to drive head long into a small truck at about 108mph and the truck goes flying and nothing at all happens to your car and you carry on driving as if you'd just run over a hedgehog. I know it's not meant to be Colin McRae but jesus......

£37 for a decent game that you get several days or weeks or months is fair enough I think

Trade it in if necessary or just wait 6 months and get it for £20 or in Battleborn case wait 2-3months and get for £10 :-)

Wait 12-15 months and it may appear on GwG

It's far too much. £30 should be the cap really.

Just a heads up though, it won't reflect on your order the moment a price drop is live mind. Usually shows a day or two after. If it hasn't, then contact customer services and they will adjust it for you.

Game development costs have increased with every gen as games get larger … Game development costs have increased with every gen as games get larger in memory size, considering this games should be closer to around the £50-60 mark.

They are also selling far more than they used to. This isn't like back in the day when you had to release Street Fighter 2 or Tekken at above 50 quid in order to see a good investment return because the audience size was limited. Most AAA games now generate far more profit then Hollywood movies and the likes of CoD, Fifa, Madden, Battlefield etc generate the kind of money that the movie makers could only ever dream of.

Let's also not forget that when you bought a game 10 years ago you got that game whereas most current gen games are essentially barebones products that are designed as a basis to generate further revenue on DLC, season passes, IGC, endorsed hardware/peripherals etc.

Unlike 20 years ago where £59.99 was the price of Legend of Zelda on the NES? A game that didn't have an orchestra hired for the music, or voice actors or HD artists and was just a few beeps and pixels and fitted in a few Megabytes of space?

Yeah... which is why I voted the deal as being hot.

It's crazy how Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 are coming out within a week of each other. One of them is surely being sent out to die. A pity really, as I want Titanfall 2 the most of the "holy trinity" of shooters this year...

Well, I want it for the reason that it has a singly player campaign as well as the fact that it's been built from the ground up as a current gen game. No more cross platform development = Infinitely nicer graphics.

On the plus side, and if EA don't delay the game, I expect to see TF2 being quite cheap around Black Friday...

What they launched with Watchdogs, Asscreed Unity, the glitching debacle on the Division leaving super high level players with crazy loot in the dark zone? Stuff like that makes people doubt Ubisoft games nowadays and hold back on preordering. Personally the only IP I would trust Ubisoft with is Rayman.

Fair enough, I agree with Unity being a bit glitchtastic on launch, definitely had a few frustrating moments with Arno getting stuck to a window ledge or table and unable to move while being shot to death. I really enjoyed Watch Dogs though and look forward to the new one.
