can anyone tell me if you get all 3 discs or do they remove the 3rd disc with the digital copy on, even though it can't be used?

It's shipped with the third disc (digital copy), but unfortunately the code will have expired. I have the US version of this and the code expired in July. Digital copies don't interest me so it's not a problem for me.

i'm not fussed either but would be weird if it was missing a disc

good deal thanks

Brilliant price, for an amazing film. If only the Ultimate edition was still for sale :-(

Ordered! Been meaning to get this Blu ray for a while as not watched for ages-couldn't resist @ this price.
Anyone used the company before? Are they reliable etc?

Actually the UK version has the superior picture. I wouldn't save a couple of quid and get this one over it. False economy.

"Paramount has done an amazing job in surpassing the already stellar picture quality of the domestic Warner Blu-ray. Technicolor, who handles the technical aspects of Paramount's Blu-rays, wisely made the 186-minute director's cut the only feature on a BD-50, taking up nearly the entire disc. Encoded in AVC, the average video bitrate is 27.24 Mbps, which is nearly 10 Mbps higher than the meager VC-1 encoding on Warner's BD. The clear difference in shadow detail, and the frequent resolving of superior high-frequency information over Warner's disc, which is appropriately placed in the upper confines of tier one at the moment, leads to this import easily deserving of tier zero. These observations were made in direct comparison on my display, with both discs in my possession."

I'm confused now. I've just ordered a copy from a US ebay site. Should I have just stuck to the UK version?

That would be my advice. If you're not going to aim for top quality on blu-ray then you may as well stick to DVD. The UK version's clearly superior. But obviously opinions vary...

For myself, almost 10mb more video bitrate is a clincher.

really wanted the ultimate edition but didnt know it was only for limited time, nuts

Ultimate edition blu ray does not appear to have every been released in UK - was waiting for it to get a little cheaper and then import from US...... looks like I've missed the boat (DVD still seems to be on offer)....
