Description

A complex, multi-layered mystery adventure, Watchmen is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the "Doomsday Clock" - which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union - is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion - a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers - Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity... but who is watching the watchmen?

is this the extended edition or the ordinary one?

ive no idea, didnt know there was an extended one

Belive the directors cut will (initially) not be the available on dvd in UK, although I'm sure we will get it at some point in the future. So may have to look elsewhere if you require that edition.

Quite enjoyed this, bit strange in places though. Thats a good price for a new DVD though :-)

I found I liked this better on reflection afterwards. I remember being bored during it - thinking I'd hate to have to sit through it again, but there are so many bits that are memorable and the whole look of the film is fantastic so I think it will deserve a second watch.

Says £12 now :x

Has it changed, or is there a voucher somewhere???

Looks like its changed in a day :x

Great film , heat added--only sinitoncam

its ok if you just want the film, but there is the 2 disc edition which im guessing is probably worth paying extra for. or the bluray.

Amazing film, has the occasional dodgy moment, but certainly one of the most interesting things to come out of Hollywood in years.

Personally I thought this was one of the worst movies I have ever sat through, but to each his own I suppose.
