It's £13.49 now and out of stock

And I got it yesterday at Zavvi marked at 9.99 and 30% off that due to the administration mark-down ;-)

Course depends if you are near a Zavvi and it it has it in -the one in Aberdeen is very short of stock in some things - unless its Blu-rays you're after !

Not voting but i got it from the library not long ago and i thought the book was quite boring, the film looks visually stunning tho and hopefully it will be good

I found this pre-administration at Zavvi for £10 and posted it on here and I think the temperature of the deal went sub-zero. Apparently, it was £8.99 at Amazon before Christmas - looks like the prices are increasing as anticipation for the movie builds...

Great book by the way!

I always have to post something on a Watchmen thread.

The book isn't an action packed superhero comic book spectacle. It's a dialogue heavy, thoughtful and character driven true-to-the-title graphic novel. And it's just perfect. All the sneak peeks of the movie feature almost all of the entire action from the book, which is a bit dishonest really, giving the wrong impression to attract action audiences. The movie will be as dialogue heavy, demanding, slow and subtle and hopefully, as brilliant as the book.

You can hardly ever find the book for any kind of deal, so this price is as good as any really, unless you have a bankrupt store somewhere near you.

I totally agree. When the comics came out it was something really unusual and totally new. Waiting for each issue to arrive at the comic shop felt like an eternity. I think it came out every month, then a couple of times they hadn't finished them so we'd have to wait a few months before they were back on track! I still have the first 5 (the rest weren't out at this point) of them signed by Moore and Gibbons, and a sketch of Rorschach. It would be a good idea to sell 'em later this year - but I don't think I could.

I haven't read Watchmen for over 20 years but it made a big impression on me - my comics are mint (I used to go to the comic shop for a couple of friends, buy 3 copies, read theirs and keep mine pristine and untouched!) so I think I'll get this and brush up again before the film comes out.

What you got there dude is a sound investment. Never been one to become personally attached to things like that, so I'd sell them myself, when the time is right. Probably not when the movie comes out though; I hate saying it, but probably when Alan Moore leaves us, being as true an artist as he is, then they'll become priceless.

Decent enough price if you can't get to a Zavvi (or they don't have any left). Bound to go up when the film is released.

Remember though, that Alan Moore has completely disassociated himself from the film, and his name will NOT be mentioned in the credits. Doesn't bode well.

he does this with every film based on his stories!

usually for good reasons... but having seen Snyder's two previous films and loved them, I'm giving this one the benefit of the doubt.

There are loads in Zavvi, Newtownabbey at the £6.99 reduced price - loving it all over again - haven't read it since Uni!
