This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Admittedly this is niche but may be a very attractive deal for a few people. Destinology currently have water villa rooms at The Residence, Maldives reduced from £2,900pp to £1230pp, hb for a week and including domestic flight and speedboat transfers from Male. I have stayed at this hotel and these rooms are phenomenal. They are built over the ocean, have separate living, bed and bathrooms and a private sundeck with steps down into the lagoon. The link goes to a week in August/September but there are other periods on offer. Flights from Manchester are from £650 to £800 at present. For a couple of hundred pounds extra you can have a water villa with a private pool. Each room also has a couple of bicycles to pedal off to breakfast etc

Can't they cover the cost from the French share of the 39billion we seem set to give them?

Sorry, not quite so exotic, they are bog standard pool ladders into the lagoon. The reef is about fifty metres away

I seem to be struggling to get a link to work. If it doesn't work search any weeks from May to September and click on The Residence
Looks stunning

Very expensive if you like a drink I've been twice and been all inclusive so no nasty shocks as I heard a few couples get.
You don't pay for anything till the end of the holiday so unless you get a daily roundup it's hard to assess.

Bottles of water were free but drinks were typical 5* hotel prices. One problem with the Maldives is you aren't allowed to take duty free drink into the country. At best it gets confiscated at the airport and you get it back on the way out. Expect to pay £5 for a beer

It looks very good. Been looking for somewhere like think and using kuoni. Thanks for the help. I'm guessing you recommend

Been to Kuredu and Sun Island it's stunning nothing compares if I'm honest if you want Good food and to chill out.
Been to Meedhuparu and Velavaru AI. Nothing beats The Maldives, would love to go again, but with 3 kids now that is pretty unlikely 😥. Heaven on earth.
How much to buy the Island?
I know this week in August doesn't suit everyone but it suits me so I'm willing to share. You pay for it and I'll go on the holiday. Any takers? Seems fair to me. I'll even update social media ever hour while I'm there.

Can you adopt me?
It sounds too expensive, not just the holiday but the food etc. I love to swim in the sea looking at fish and coral, I've been to many islands in the south of Japan. Which were largely unspoilt. The barrier reef apparently is very restricted. I think Indonesia is probably the only other place I'd like to visit where the sea is unspoilt and the cost of living is not expensive.

lol, im sorry i'm got enough problems with the three of them.
This place looks stunning and a great spot by the OP.
Whilst i would like to see myself sunning my white lump of a body, more realistically for me, i shall be enjoying the crystal waters of Praa Sands in Cornwall. The water might be colder than the Antarctic but at least you can get a hot pasty (and there's an all you can eat Chinese Buffet just up the road for £14).
Yes i'm envious of those who can take advantage of this excellent deal but those who do, i'm sure will love it.
Those whose tastes, or wallets are more restricted.....see you at Praa Sands, Cornwall -the 2nd most heavenly place on Earth.
PS Heat for the deal.
These water villas are incredible
Stayed last Sep. Still think about it daily
That's a fantastic deal for those with the circumstances to go. Well found OP

For those of you who like me can't stretch to that budget....there is a similar place in Bali that we are going to in the Autumn (obviously not near as luxurious) but is all inclusive for £70-80 a night.

The Catholic Church can afford to sort that themselves.
Thanks OP, we've booked the all inclusive package for our honeymoon!

I would strongly recommend e-mailing the hotel and request one of the '300 block' water villas on the sunset side of the island. Snorkelling is far better and sunset is at a far more civilised time than sunrise. Say you specifically want some sunset honeymoon photos from the sundeck
