Not as cheap as it has been in the past but still a good price for this little gadget - would make a good stocking filler item.

As seen on BBC2's "Dragons Den" the Multi Award Winning WaterBuoy is the Worlds 1st and strongest flotation device which is visible at night. It is the "must have accessory" for anyone who is on or near the water!
7dayshop.com is delighted to bring you the WaterBuoy at a Very Special Price of just £7.99 !!
Simply attach a WaterBuoy to your keyring (or other equipment) and help protect it from accidental loss. WaterBuoy offers the following features...

Able to lift up to 1kg in weight
Reacts in seconds to contact with water
Keeps on floating for up to 24 hours
Powerful built in flashing high intensity LED light is visible at night and up to 250 meters
Weighs a mere 32 grams and is very compact at just 7cm in length

Play it Extra Safe: Attach your WaterBuoy to your Keys, camera equipment or case, binoculars, mobile phone, GPS unit, PDA, radio receivers, fishing tackle equipment and also any valuable or essential tools etc. Remember WaterBuoy can lift up to 1kg in weight. If your case or equipment is heavier than 1kg then why not attach another or as many as may be needed !!

A great accessory or gift idea for anyone who uses any form of boat or watercraft including canoes and kayaks etc. Ideal for fishing too !

I've not looked into how it works, but from the description it looks like it does something when it comes into contact with water, so not exactly ideal for kitesurfers unless they have a waterproof pocket for it.

Seems to inflate a balloon very quickly - seems a great idea for those that need it.

from their site -Waterbuoy's patented trigger technology allows the product to be splash resistant from accidental activation as well as operating to optimum performance once fully submerged.

The trigger will activate within seconds of being submerged allowing Waterbuoy to retrieve the cargo before it has chance to drift in the ever changing water currents.

bought mum one as she lives on boat always losing her keys in the river x

But then a cork keyring doesn't cost you £7.99 every time you drop it in the water...

............yes, we know!

I'm out!

Nice stocking filler for Dad, cheers!

Surely if the average camera or mobile phone is submeged in water its history anyway. Therefore like Theo I'm out but good luck!

i remember seeing this on dragons den, nice to see it on here seems like a good price

This will come in handy next time I'm out on my yacht and drop my binoculars over the side! But it would mean £7.99 of my children's inheritance...

Seriously, sure it's of use to a specialised target market.

Yeah, but would you want her to surface anyway :whistling:

Good price so hot.
Think I'll stick with my keyring with foam on though. May suit some activities but, correct me if I'm wrong, once dunked they can't be used again.
Visions of having these in my zipped pocket and falling overboard.:whistling:

you do get water proof and even submersible cameras and that when it would be useful ;-)

great gadget. I use it for my waterproof camera when sailing. Saves me having to dive down 30ft! It does not go off when splashed and is really easy to remove you are on land. Compared to corks (which are very bulky) it flashes for those who sail at night and can be seen from a mile away (apparently - never used that particular feature!)

Oh No! Not the Apostrophe Police! :w00t:

Not really - it's the name of the programme, and missing or misplacing apostrophes is spelling it incorrectly.
