Powerful built in flashing high intensity LED light is visible at night and up to 250 meters

Is 7dayshop connected to one of the 'Dragons' then?

I hope this isn't as bad as "Reggae Reggae Sauce"

Won't need one myself, but just like to say what a fantastic invention.

great price for a great little idea

but

i have no use for this. " and for that reason i wont be investing"!!!!!

:-D

Reggae sauce is so nice.

Both have Peter Jones & Theo on board. Levi Roots is TOP though :-D

why does it only float for 24 hours?

Thats nothing, they need to speak to a guy where I used to work as he got things to float for a full week in the gents!

This obviously has limited appeal and is not selling very well, so it is being sold at half cost.
Shame it is a good idea but has only a small market.

"Never lose anything overboard again"

I think it's likely that the Maxwell family have bought a couple of these (though thankfully they weren't around when the big fat Czech went that way)

I can think of a few people who may benefit from this!!!

Thanks....

yeah great product and great idea....but Iive no where near water and spend no time at all on a boat! It takes me back to Bullseye when I was a kid,,,,,, 'You live in Birmingham in the middle of the country and the star prize is a speed boat, to share with your best mate who can not even play darts'!.

handy thing but the closest i get to any water is a shower lol

Hmm, no use for this myself, but if was inventing it, I think I would make it a key finding (whistle and it beeps) bottle opening (due to shape) handly led torch floatation device.

Something that big on my keys needs to do a lot more than just float.

Are you pleased to see me, or just caught in the rain?

That sauce is lovely..

I've lost 3 pairs of police sunglasses "overboard". I'm gonna tie one of these to my current pair:-D

I have nearly dropped my keys down the drain twice so "I WILL BE INVESTING !"

that's so funny

what would happen if you dropped it in a puddle or got it wet with rain?

Found this, which makes things a little clearer:

gadgetvenue.com/wat…43/

I thought it was just a lump of polystyrene, but its more complicated than that! I was tempted to get one for my waterproof camera, as I go canoeing a fair bit, but its not clear if the gas is refillable.

It doesn't fire if it gets splashed, only when its submerged. I'd imagine you'd look quite silly dropping it in a deep puddle though, unless you cluld fill it with helium and have it float back into your hands without having to bend down to pick it up!

thats what i was thinking. if i had a mate with this would blatently tip water over them. and then watch them inflate.

exactly what I was thinking, bit expensive to try and find out though :? makes me wonder if it's the same device they put on auto inflating life jackets, no one can give me an answer as to what happens when it rains or you get splashed with a big wave. I reckon they've just found out this device has already been patented on life jackets.

mmm, can't imagine you'd have much use for your PDA, camera equipment or radio receiver after it's made a trip to the bottom of the lake and back... :whistling:

Passed this to a friend, who's son is in the Sea Cadets. Sounds a great idea for his car keys! Thanks for the link.

Whatever happened to a cork with a bit of rope through it? Holds 1kg+ (depends on size) and NEVER sinks!

Voted cold cold cold!

Ha ha ha ha ha !

You could use them as earings I suppose (although probably wouldn't keep your nose/mouth above water) just a thought ladies  You'd look super with a pair of these hanging off your ears would go great with a lovely Versace black dress.... :whistling:

LOL. Would they manage to get the captain to stop the cruise ship to collect their floating keys!?:-D

Great idea, The only downside for me is that I believe its not reusable. There are loads on the market which are cheaper and reusable.
eg
marinemegastore.com/cat…htm

how about this then, what if you son or daughter plays with your keys etc (as many kids do these days) and puts this thing in their mouth!

Could bring a whole new meaning to "inflatable buoy"

In short, nothing will happen.

If it employs a hydrostatic release mechanism, then the follwing information may hep:

"Hydrostatic pressure is applied to objects submerged in water. The hydrostatic inflator needs only to be submerged 4 inches (10 cm) for the hydrostatic pressure to open a pressure valve releasing a firing mechanism, automatically inflating ..."

Boats employ hydrostatic releases on deck mounted life rafts and so we dont want them to be popping off and infalting with every large wave (but I assume that the pressure required is configurable at production time).

handy when dropped keys down the drain!
