Cheapest I've seen this on Blu-ray and an excellent film (although a bit 'scary' for small children). Use code SIGNUP10 to buy at this price.
Animated feature of Richard Adams' best-selling novel. When rabbit Fiver (voiced by Richard Briers) has a premonition of his warren being destroyed by man, he persuades his brother Hazel (John Hurt) and a few other friends to flee in search of safety. They have many adventures along the way, until they encounter a vicious race of rabbits who are determined to prove their supremacy.

A true horror film, one of the only films to ever truly scare me... just in time for Halloween too! Heat!

So what's special about the blue ray edition. This is my favourite book and film of all time, but have they done any work on the sound and visual quality to justify a blue ray release?

Tear fest

This film broke me as a child. 10/10 would recommend.

it is a big improvement over the DVD, as for a special edition its just a fake title really. i heard that the original negative is badly damaged , so they done a very good sorting that out. there is a lot of grain on the film but its a dark film to so can only do so much without meddling too much and ruining the picture. worth the upgrade though as a lot of the dirt has been cleaned up and lot brighter and cleaner colours.

America have a criterion release of this and supposedly this was done from the same transfer

I remember reading about a mother who complained because she sat down with her kid at Easter time to watch this film as she thought it was about cute rabbits having fun. She did not get what she expected and her kid was terrified.

Top animated film with great music and a story that's moving. But remember "There's a dog loose in the woods!".

I can't believe this is just rated a 'u' , yet Disney's moana is a 'PG'!
love this film great find, thanks.

My childhood psychiatrist highly recommends this film, heat!

Best comment I have read all day, glad it sh*t the life outta the kid, it probably needed a little realism in its life for once, as probably did the mother!

Quality film by the way!
Frightened the beeshesus out of me but I'm better for it now..Well thats what the psychiatrist keeps telling me!

Cried reading the book, cried watching the film, loved it, watch it over again often.....I'm a 70 year old kid by the way!!

No lossless audio, compared to US release!

We were shown this in school at about 8 years old, I'm guessing our teacher hated us

If you don't mind crying at "toons", give Grave of the Fireflies a whirl!

I think they were closer to refugees as a modern comparator

truly heart breaking- if you don't cry at that you are dead inside.

Why? What was wrong with the original voice acting and narration.

Like a suppressed memory of a traumatic experience this film. I could easily walk into cinema and see Jigsaw this weekend but this would be the one I would be scared to see

Whenever I think of Watership Down, I always think of this: The Goodies parody. Blocked on youtube.

Nothing. This is a new version.4 x 1 hour long episodes.

Someone in Bristol keeps moving Watership Down Blu Rays and DVDs in shops to the "Kids" section, the sadistic ******.

Great film - my dad took me to see it when I was a kid and it scared the pants off me.

Watched it a few times since on regular dvd, so looking forward to seeing the Bluray. Well worth a fiver!

Ah right, okay. Thought they had just altered the voiceovers. So they've done a remake. Meh.

Made me bubble when I saw it in Primary One.

The only book I ever read in one day

Plague dogs was good too
