This is a naff NAS, but all the shuckers out there this is a bargain for a pair of 10 TB WD Red drives that can be removed in less than a minute and wont void the warranty!

These are rubbish. Wish I didn't waste my money on this NAS
Useful way to get actual WD Red drives. But you can get WD whites drives cheaper in the WD Essentials deal.

Indeed, however these Red Drives have the full 3yr warranty as WD allow you to swap them out on failure so IMO better than the Whites

I did note this is a naf NAS, deal is only really for those that want the drives out of them massively cheaper than buying a retail drive.

Definietly better than whites. Reds don't have a problem with the 3rd power pin the whites do, and the reds don't get nearly as hot. Reds have other features which as switched off on the white drives too. They may look as though it is just the label that's different, but they are a very different product. Plus as you say the longer warranty and that you can remove them.
