WD 2TB Elements Portable External Hard Drive - £61.97 @ Amazon

Seems to be the cheapest (non-refurbished) 2TB 2.5" external hard drive available at the moment - cheapest it's been on Amazon according to camel, but that doesn't mean much with this sort of thing. Looks like a Currys clearance price match, but it's now unavailable to order or collect there, so no guesses as to how long Amazon will keep up the price.

The price of these should have dropped way more, should be at least a tenner less if not more than that

Been holding off for ages. By now I expect a 2tb to be about £40-45 and a 4tb to be around £60-65. Surprised how long they have taken to drop in price.

Same, refuse to overpay for those.
An alternative is use a internal drive and buy a £7-9 external case for it to slot in and hey presto, and external drive.
I did that with my bust laptop internal drive for my Xbox One S.

Similar price as far as I can see. 2TB laptop drives are about £72 and 3.5" versions are about £55 - So the same as this once you've bought the case.

Hopefully I'll eventually catch one of those cheap refurbished 4TB WDs.

Refurbs are not always the answer though.

Every single one I have ever owned has failed.

Let's hope you don't suffer lost data while you wait for prices to drop to what you believe they should cost!
