why cold

very good concept but it may not be mature enough to be used by public (read the review in Amazon)

Ye.... Why cold, Any one find s it cheaper then post info on here with link....

Hot from me, might be woth putting NAS in the title as it's more than just an external hard drive

What's the read/write speed of this, as I suspect the Gbit connection is a bit of a gimmick (they rarely write fast enough for 100mb.)

How does this differ from the WD My Book Live 3TB for £99.97 at Pc World apart from being 2TB ?

The issues seems to be more related to the network and infrastructure its connected to i.e. BT Hub

These are spot on, I have all my music on it, and can stream it through my Sonos with ease.

Maybe not a top spec unit, but for the average consumer its all you need

The PC World deal looks better to me.Only difference I can see is the 2TB one has expandability with a USB 3 connection.

Thanks did not notice that.

Could I access all my music on my iPhone via an iTunes shared library do you know?

I am waiting for the PS4 to support DLNA as I think that would make this great to have with all my films on it.

Any other info you can share?

I have the previous gen and for files it is really really slow. But this is slightly faster.

The previous gen does have itunes shared but not sure on dlna. It has twonky.
