A few years is a bit too long

They have been around that price in sales
The new models will make this outdated,
Harddrive prices drop, they rarely increase

I've seen recert drives cheaper than that
In the 60 pounds region if you get a cheap colour. Waiting for one in a colour I don't have myself.
People moan about reliability but you should always mirror your data anyway so this is a red herring.

I'm also gunna wait, rule seems to be to wait until you can double storage for the same price.

I bought my first portable external hard drive 5 years ago with 500GB for £60, next one was 3 years ago with 2TB for £60 am waiting for 4TB to come into my price range but I think with Brexit, £75 might have to be the price at which I bite the bullet!
Damn just bought a Seagate from Very for £80 (+ del). No 3 year warranty on the Seagate.
Shame it's not USB c
Mine failed after a couple of months

Yep!, I remember that one (it was just over 1 Month back ... )

It was with Argos at eBay right?.

I would have bought the exact same thing too - in red even (Beckton was showing as having at the time I queried a look, lol.

But had some actual Argos vouchers/coupons to sort out (and Argos, and Argos at eBay are NOT the same thing sadly (so had to decline on it instead). :-(

It's a shame really, as it would have tied in just nicely - considering that other colours for this (other than bog standard black of course) tend to traditionally always be more expensive! (and even moreso at Argos!, of all places?, lol).

But that's neither here nor there, if the normal Argos can now match it, then I might finally bite ...

All the very best with all that yeh? (seriously, lol).

You think that Brexit will amount to this only allowing these things to drop to only £75 or something?.

Well, the 'process' kicked into it's fore Yesterday/Wednesday (with an only 1 Year 'window' in which for us alllllll to play ... )

Chances are that in 1 Year+ from now going, you'd be wishing that 1 Year+ before (eg. Today/NOW?), you had?!.

As I can almost bet my life on it, that more the £100 mark going for these may pretty much then start blowing up EVERYWHERE as the bog standard 'norm'.

A goooood case scenario example of what I'm talking about here is none other than that of the Memory Card Market itself ...

64GB Micro SD Card's I was buying off of Amazon in multiples, just under 2 Year's ago for less than £11.50 a pop!, now sell on Amazon on average for £18-£20+ per throw! - and for the exact same item too (the £20 per item that you would have expected from the same item, say 2 Year's prior to that only?, eg. 2013/2014 and/or wayyyyy earlier perhaps?!, into 2010 going even ... )

So good luck in reaching any magic marker £75 for a 4TB portable hard drive Post-Brexit time?. :-(

Just shy of £90 is cheap for what it is (if we're honest?), and it's from a decent hard drive manufacturer too (as opposed to that from an obscure/unknown name/brand, etc, etc, etc?).

So ... lol. :-)

Shame it's not USB c

This same portable hard has been selling since we'll before/prior to the Black Friday/Cyber Monday Weekend last Year ...

USB C was still not as 'standard' across the board yet on portable drives last Year even - though maybe now, yes, but not for a drive that came out long before certain 'stuffed' from the back end of last Year going were yet still in play or whatever (price wise, market wise, etc etc).

That's how I interpret those events to be anyway, but who really knows?.
Do I still get free cloud storage for one or two years if I buy it throug amazon ?
Guaranteed it will fail in 3 years so I hope the warranty service is good... and you buy a second to backup the first.
Cam these be used to store ps4 games?

I used to sell these and I've worked with many hundreds of drives, about 1 in 10 failed within minutes based on drives I sold, from drives I personally owned about 70% fail in 3 years. WD used to make quality, now they make garbage.

Out of interest, the profit's you got back from those hard drives you used to sell from back in the Day ...

Did you use those profit's to buy yourself an Arcade Machine with Space Invaders in it by any chance?, or ... hehehehehe. ;-)
