I'm not sure if this comes with the free Odeon family ticket offer like the Curry's deal but I would say you will probably need this if you're getting a One X.

This was a good offer before and still is. Hot
Same price as on Black Friday - hot from me!
I bought one of these from the Curry's deal. It's a good price but the shiny black plastic is a real fingerprint magnet and scratches very easily. Nevertheless- hot from me.
Mine needed updating

Thank you, heat added 😊
I can't seem to locate my cloud drives from WD. They disappeared after black friday.

This one without hesitation. WD's Elements drives are the bottom of the range, fairly trustworthy for backup but not so much for continuous use.
Good deal. £25/ terabyte
Justa quick question why is the data transfer so slow compared to the other drives in that range? Its speed is 1mb per sec compared to the others is a considerably slower about 80%

Better than this one? https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B017KE8OG0

I'd say yes. I don't trust Seagate's cheap drives. I've had drives from all makers die on me suddenly and WD have always been true to their warranty.

BUT... slightly more important than which drive you buy is ensuring you have at least one backup of everything you hold dear, and regular backups. ALL portable drives (by the nature of them being portable and not needing power from a separate mains cable) tend to be more vulnerable to getting knocked when in use. When the delicate heads inside are reading or writing data they just need a tiny knock to kill them dead, even the ones in rubber 'shock proof' casing like the LaCie Rugged orange ones – those only protect from impact when not plugged in.

My Panasonic won't because it seems to need an external power supply.
I'll try it on my Hisense later and that probably will.

Thanks, I think Amazon have made a mistake then with the details they are showing in their comparison table.

My Samsung is picky about portable drives. Might have to get a powered one.

Lol you joker
Sorry if this is a stupid question. But does this require power from the main. Or is it USB powered.

Seen few hard drives that require power from the main. My old usb 2TB hard drive is almost full from Xbox one games.

This is USB powered and works perfectly on an Xbox..... enjoy at this price!
Got mine today via Amazon and it's faulty. Have had a lot of hard drives over the years and that's the fist time I've had one DOA. Anyone else have any issues?

IMO NO! This one has a better rep for not failing during the warranty period. Also looks better sitting on the Xbox one X.

You can get the WD 4TB passport in the new caddy for same price. IMO the HDD used in the 4tb passport is more reliable than Seagate drives. I've checked many comparison tech sheets.

I agree....these are slow.

If its for gaming, go for the WD passport or My Book for the same price. I'm told that they also have a 7200rpm Hdd in the My Book, rather than the 5400rpm, which improves game load times. Ok so it has a separate power adaptor but that means less load on the USB & PSU of your gaming device. THEY GET HOT AS IT is without adding extra load.

Great for the Xbox one X.
