Cheers, next best I could see was £299 at Lambdatek, but I'll adjust to £199

OK thanks, I didn't even think to look on the manufacturers site - ROOKIE MISTAKE, I'm jacking it all in now
Looks to contain an Ultrastar DC drive for the shuckers out there. The 12TB one does anyway:

Search engines are annoying. You get different results depending on how you word the search
This looks ok. Good design. I am tempted bro. Is this drive any good bro?

Yes bro.
Wasn’t this like £108 during Black Friday?

It's pointless really. Usual "Gaming" brand stuff. Load times for console games might be >10% lower than any old USB HDD containing a 5,400rpm drive.

Actually the 7,200rpm has a higher bandwidth. Also this drive is rated at having a 250mbps data transfer which is significantly higher.... like do you not read the product or just assume from 10 years ago knowledge?

You should try understanding what the specs means and real world performance instead of trusting what a manufacturer claims.

Even on the console with the highest performance (so there's less bottleneck) the Xbox One X an *SSD* will typically reduce load times by sub 30% - gamersnexus.net/gui…mes.

A HDD with a negligibly higher spindle speed is pointless, <10% as I said and that's generous. 250MB/s (not mb) is a theoretical maximum sustained transfer rate which it a) won't actually achieve at all even in synthetic benchmarks and b) won't come close to in practice either.

Yes I have watched the videos but this is a 8tb disc the read and write access is much faster. I got the seagate 8tb upgraded from 3tb and it is quicker. And yeah we alll watched YouTube tutorials on them doing this

Again, this product gives a negligible improvement for gaming. Even a bus-powered 1TB USB HDD containing a 5,400rpm drive would be but a handful of seconds behind.

You aren't getting 250Mbps from a USB hard-drive, even one with "active cooling" (aka an entirely pointless and tiny fan).
