Got a good price for an 8 TB external hard drive from WD_Black (Western Digital) at Currys today, £159 delivered. That is the best price I could find, apart from eBay single sellers. But they don't count.

Eight terrabytes is an awful lot of data — 200 games' worth apparently! It works on across platforms too, so you can save Xbox and Playstation data on the same disk.

Box contents
- WD_BLACK D10 External Game Drive
- USB Type-A to micro USB Type-B cable
- AC adapter and plug
- Quick install guide

"Store all your games in one place with the WD_Black D10 External Game Drive.

With a massive capacity of 8 TB, it can fit up to 200 games so you won't have to delete old favourites to make way for new releases. Delivering speeds up to 250 MB/s, installing and transferring your files takes no time at all, while built in active cooling keeps it all cool and running smoothly.

And you can charge your phone or gaming gear with the two USB ports. Designed to stand either vertically or horizontally, the D10 will fit in perfectly to your gaming set up.

The D10 works across PC, Mac, PS4 or Xbox One, so if you're a multi-platform player, you can still store all your games together.

Don’t see why not, it is just a data storage device.
Info on speed and the disk it has inside (it might be a HC320 worth £250):

It could, but you'd be safer with an SSD based drive.
8TB would be extremely overkill for music and the rotational harddrive IMO wouldn't be great for someone who moves.
This is not prticularly good value for shucking at about £19 per Terabyte however probably the case is quite sellable on Ebay,

WD seem to have a 10% discount scheme if the drive is bought from them which includes students, teachers and even seniors (over 55)

The D10 appears to be £159 directly from them (less 10% with free delivery) = about £143

ttps://shop.westerndigital.com/en-gb/products/external-drives/wd-black-d10-game-drive-usb-3-2-hdd#WDBA3P0080HBK-EESN

In the US, you'd get an $18 Black tee shirt (free)
This was tempting at £159 but now at £148.09 inc 6 months Spotify it's even more tempting!

Just not sure if the 7200rpm HC320 drive inside is worth the extra over the 8TB 5400rpm WD Red helium in the MyBook Elements £125

Edit anyone know why eBay is flooded with these even cheaper?
