sorted byYou don't want 500gb in a PS5, it will fill up in a couple of months. 1tb should be the minimum size whilst 2tb would be the ideal size long term.
Yes! I have the SN850 1TB version and works really well
not too bad because you still have the ps5 internal ssd storage so will be enough storage for most .
I suppose. Sony cheaped out big time on the SSD space. They should have offered at least 1TB like MS did. 667GB of usable space is barely five or six full retail games these days. With the Series X you still get 800GB of usable storage.
Also, on PS5 there's a reserved "other" spot for games which can be multiple gb in size that you can't touch. You can't even see what it is! Foe this reason I would strongly recommend at least a 1TB SSD. 500GB may be okay for the casual gamer right now but a year from now when the gen properly gets off the ground and last gen gets left behind, we're going to start seeing games balloon in size. Better to spend a little extra now and be safe rather than sorry.
Definitely makes good sense to go for a 1tb if you have the extra cash especially with the size of ps5 games. Sony tried to cut costs with that cheap glossy finish and the ssd size they could have done better, the series X is built way better than the ps5 even the series S is better build quality at a fraction of the price.
Have one. PS5 internal storage out the box is 845GB, Warzone is 110GB. You will get 6-7 games on PS5 before having to delete, adding 500GB well thats 5-6 games more. 2TB is the ideal, but you have to get Gen 4.0 NvME which is going to set you back over £200. You'll also need the Sabrent Heatsink amazon.co.uk/Sab…WCL which is currently 53% off for £13.99.
Thanks, I haven't managed to get a ps5 yet..but just forward planning..this will help for when I do
