For those interested the 500GB runs sequentially at
Up to 3,400 MB/s Read
Up to 2,500 MB/s Write

And at the following speeds random
500GB
Up to 410,000 IOPS Read
Up to 330,000 IOPS Write

There is also a 1tb drive on sale for £314.91 but this is quite obviously best bang for your money
I'm not expert on this but are these speeds good. I'm looking for second NVMe for my laptop for gaming but don't know much about it in all honesty

To my knowledge, the only drive that beats this is the Samsung 970 pro by only 100mhz read speed though the wd beats it by 100mhz write speed. And the Samsung cost just over £200

It's dependant upon each laptops configuration. Some use 2.5" drives, some m.2 SATA drives and the rest will use these m.2 pcie drives. The majority of newer laptops will typically use the m.2 sata. Some of the more expensive laptops may have the m.2 pcie drive like this one. Refer to your manual to find out
I was tempted until I read the review.... Definitely not quite in evo 970 territory.

Bought this at 160 just a couple of weeks ago - so this is a great price - very quick - you wont notice any speed diff with the 970 evo but you'll be saving a lot of cash
Ordered one today, performance looks good and £130 for a 500gb nvme drive is a great price, sata 500gb ssds were that price a few weeks ago. I normally buy Samsung but didn't think the extra £30 was worth it this time.

Literally just bought a blue for £90 but want this one now for the speeds. Is the speeds worth an extra £40 you guys recon? First time I am buying an SSD and I am upgrading my laptop.

If so I'll take back the blue from Ebuyer and buy this!

They have different interfaces, pcie and sata. You would need to check if your laptop is even compatible with either

This one isn't PCIE. Its m2. I understand all that, just asking on its speed.

You obviously don't. M.2 describes the form factor. They are both m.2, the blue has a sata interface and the black has a pcie interface. Feel free to Google the difference and check your laptop manual for which one will work for you

It says:
Up to 3,400 MB/s Read
Up to 2,500 MB/s Write

Most reviews say it's quite good and nothing compared to the first one

Yes but if he only has a sata interface on his laptop (which is why I'd assume he'd buy the blue) then it's pointless as it won't even fit no matter how much faster it is
Can you spot the difference?
