I was quite tempted by the Samsung QVO 4TB at £313, but the fact that it's not a full-speed SATA SSD put me off. Here, for 10% more, we have a full speed alternative (TLC rather than QLC flash) - it'll maintain a much higher speed on long writes.
Very tempting.

From what I read, performance is up there slightly behind that of Samsung EVO and Crucial MX500, so way above Samsung QVO. A review states the speeds dropping, once the cache is used up, to 450MBps on this, as opposed to the 160MBps on the QVO.

Hot dayum, das a lot of SSD storage
I need want
is this a standard height SSD? would it fit into a laptop?

edit:
"Product Dimensions10 x 7 x 0.7 cm"
"Improve your load times to get in the game faster with a WD Blue 3D NAND SATA SSD. Available in 2.5” 7mm and M.2 2280 versions"

hmmm... reading the reviews it looks like this Amazon ASIN / SKU used to be for a M.2 SSD drive (sizes 250GB and 500GB)
The 4.8/5 star ratings from 524 reviews are not for this 4TB model.
I hate it when Amazon do this and co-mingle various products into one. Totally misleading.

The Amazon page is for all models or the WD Blue 2.5" and M.2 drives. Useful for shopping, but not helpful in terms of reviews, no. I swear at one time in history you could filter reviews to a certain model. The best I can suggest now is to go all the way to the bottom and click "see all customer reviews" then use the search feature.
I don't think there are any reviews of the 4TB though! It's been available since the start of June.

EDIT: as corrected below, there's a filter just below the "top reviews section"! It's the filter that starts off saying "All Formats". And no, there are no reviews for the 4TB.

You can still filter reviews for a specific model. On the Customer Reviews page scroll down and there is an option to filter by different criteria. One the fields says 'All Formats'. You can change this value to match the product model you're interested in.
Oh my lord! 4TB Drive. Lol

Ah, thank you!
The "top review" section was confusing me, as the filter is below that (and above it is what looks like a filter, but just takes you back to the product page!).
