It depends what you want it for, but I'd say a 2tb drive for thirty quid is cheap any day of the week (and if you've bought from WD before they might have sent you a 20% off voucher).

The cloud drives are good for data availability. As a backup drive two of these might be a better bet, particularly as they are standard format with no encryption/special fornattting so if the enclosure dies the HDD can be plugged into another sata controller and data read straight off.

Why not just get both?
Can the drive be ripped out and used in desktop
Never underestimate the value of backing up all your documents, photos, music and media and storing them away from your house, at work or with a trusted friend or relative.

Yes! I do this, I print all of my documents and photos and put all my music and films onto tapes and store them away from my house down in the shed in my alotment.
