Doesnt make sense to buy this at the moment considering 5tb one is for £71. Best part is no need to take out our time machines as its still available.

Here's a hard cookie for those people who say that Amazon is destroying the market and most of its competitors.

Now if it was £74.99 for the 5TB from currys vs £70.99 from Amazon I'm sure many may be onboard with supporting currys and paying a few extra pound.
However paying more for 1TB less doesn't make sense.

Most people will still opt for the cheaper options. Alot of us only preach but not practice and that also applies to myself.

Price is key to most people, I didn't NEED the 5TB drive but @ £70.99 it was a good deal that was affordable to me. I just lost a WD cloud drive so will need to do something with that providing the data is still alive. However on other stuff where it's a similar item and only say £1 difference, I did choose to use Screwfix over Amazon. I collected it the same day and possibly saved a little bit of the environment collecting locally @ Screwfix instead of an Amazon delivery.
(I do believe we have a large Amazon warehouse being built about 3 miles away) So even that excuse won't apply soon.
