Great price, getting closer to pre-flood levels.

I seem to only be able to have the option to collect from store which as usual means none available. Good spot OP.

Sadly out of stock in Swindon, Cirencester, so no luck for me there as is a great price, 10 quid less than fleabay but out of stock so it's a miss for me:(

I have one of these and it's a very fast drive.

The USB cable is non standard and pitifully short though.

This is the standard micro-usb3 connection.

This is huge hence the decrease in price, and has been replaced by the new 1tb portable drives which are £83 with USB 3
This is a 3.5" drive in a enclosure (I took apart for a 1tb internal drive)

This is great but mainly suited for those who will keep it in one place on the desk etc and not carry about
.
If u NEED one then a good buy but if u don't then I personally recommend getting the newer better drives as they are smaller, more compact, light and more reliable..

No it isn't, it's a 2.5" hard drive in this. Look at the dimensions (126 x 78 x 15) and it's lack of a power socket. It's the thicker 12mm drive rather than a 9mm drive but it's definately 2.5" and not 3.5".

What are you talking about? This IS a 1TB portable drive with USB 3...

where do these people come from? Info - get it right.

I have looked through the thread & Currys website but can't find out whether this is USB or mains+adaptor powered.
It looks remarkably like a WD drive that I have which is mains but can anyone confirm?
Thanks

the one in the youtube video is the usb 2.0 version, the one in this deal is the usb 3.0 version(also backwards compatible with usb 2.0).

Ah, so it is... Gives a good idea of size though.

feeble but true

I've seen the 500gb usb 2 version 'in the flash' so already had an idea of the size

as I said I'm tempted to get one but not sure if it'll work with the nexus 7(once rooted).

This or the Hitatchi Tuoro?
hotukdeals.com/dea…527

is WD better than Hitatchi? or are they the same now that WD has bought Hitachi hard drive division?

Bought one of these for the same price from Currys last year.

It's lost all my data on more than one occasion but it seems to be alright of late.

I got one the same as this as well paid about £44 with discount code from Dixons and its USB3, I've got 3 of them, just ordered another as there all full.

Decided to get this one. Have the old SE 500MB which has so far served me well since 2009. Besides if the price drops the case should make up for the difference

How do I get the free case. I got to pay and it still was charging me.
