Datacentre-class enterprise 7200 rpm, 256 MB cache, extended write, 5 year warranty.

I've been waiting for the 10 TB to come down for almost a year, these are only about £6 more than the 10 TB version through ebuyer.

I know it's infant technology, but it is based on the Hitachi HGST drives - and it comes with a 5 year warranty.

Much better than the REDs in a high usage NAS.

Best of all, another 4% with quidco! So good I bought 5!

Brilliant price relatively speaking.

One HD the size of my NAS!

Might need to buy 2. One to back up my new 12TB drive

Really handy for people that collect Cute photos of cats.
Just googled, 10tb is £ 359.94 inc. vat
So effectively £6 for 2tb

What do you mean it's based on Hitachi drives? The description says it's using WD Gold drives.

Wot does gold mean?

Thanks OP, bought 10 and it's still not enough for my porn.

Based on and using are two different things.

Enterprise, 5year warranty and higher MTBF and more sustained writing activity.

Uses proven helium helioseal technology from the Hitachi HGST platform, there's some joint ownership somewhere here:

Sounds good but I see £557.10. What gives? How do I get it for 365.32?

And actually now ebuyer have refused to honour the acknowledged order!

Update: After a fair review on trustpilot they have decided to honour the order - they're out for delivery today... apparently.
