Put all your previous data on this. Don't back it up. It'll be grand
these come with 3 year warranty so better then the WD Element drives but £11 more expensive , can't be bothered to cancel as my element drives arriving tomorrow

i wonder do they come with the same internal disks ?
Just bought, thanks
The WD Elements 12TB (at £154.99 >> £12.92 per TB) is slightly cheaper but has been hard to grab whilst in stock, so this is a decent second best. I guess that both the My Book and Elements have WD Whites inside (anyone got the exact model number?)

Can you use the pata to sata power adapters on these to bypass the 3rd pin issue?
Back in stock, not sure how long for, seemed to sell out pretty fast, got one ordered.

I managed to get one but it's out of stock again now. Have to wait until 10th December for delivery though.

On my HP MicroServer the 12TB drives did work without the need for covering up pin 3 or an adapter cable, so I haven't actually tried that.

Return them. You have until 31st Jan to return.
Or order 2 of these and return them using your original order number to get the 2x£250 back

I've done the same before and for a lot less
Damn too slow, no longer at this price.

Ditto. Shame
It's going in and out of stock, so just keep checking every so often
Just in case anyone is interested in what drive is in these, they are the wd120edaz, not too much info on them but they are not the wd red. they run at 5400rpm and read/write about 190mbps. Just put one in my server.
Had mine delivered today from Italy. Normally they overpack the boxes with either those air pockets or brown paper. whilst it did have a tiny bit of brown paper in one end of the box the internal box was still able to move from 1 side of the box to the other. I can't get a replacement as its out of stock and they would not do it at the same price I paid anyway so they offered 10% refund.I dread to think how much shaking its endured from Italy but if its faulty it will be going straight back in the new year. Great price though so thanks to the OP for posting
