First time I've seen these come in stock in a long long time, and can't imagine they'll be in stock for long.

By far the cheapest Thunderbolt storage you'll find with hardware RAID. I've these connected to an iMac (with Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter), and am getting outstanding speeds - they're working so well, there's 2 more on the way now!

Haha, "Thunderbolt on the cheap" should be WD's title for this product..
I genuinely wonder what people keep on their home networks to warrant stuff like this?

This is based more at the professional (photographer, videographer, music producer etc).

Imagine a lot of downloaded tv shows, movies and music, there seem to be many media magpies out there. Then there's all the big file users, especially if you edit lots of video,

8-12TB hasn't been in stock for at least 1 year (I've had notifications set up..).
Gutted! Only 6TB in stock now. I should of purchased earlier when was in stock but was out and about.

There's only been the 6TB in stock - the 8-12TB have never been in stock (at least in over a year anyway). They tend to put untrue prices on 'out of stock' items too.
