Will this work for a PS4 anyone know?
Or Xbox one?
Yea and yes, but this requires to be powered externally, not via USB cable alone.
Looks like the 4TB is now out of stock but the 3TB is still in stock for the same price
We're sorry but My Book 4TB (Recertified) is currently out of stock. Please return to the Shopping Basket and remove the product to complete your order. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Got the 3TB, THANKS

30 days money back guarantee seems generous considering it is over twice the 14days specified by Consumer Contract Regulations required if the item was being shifted from a UK-based company, which it isn't. The marketing guys have obviously juggled the warranty to not impact on new product sales but any inherent issues should have have been identified within the 6 months warranty period.

That's Return policy not Warranty
Received mine this morning, ordered a My Book and received a 4TB Elements in retail packaging. All looks unused.
Now to remove the drive from the casing.
Go figure

Hi, I received the 4TB version of this probably in late May.

When I hook it up to my PC it's stating a used data of 440 MB which when I look deeper it mentions WD apps setup as an application plus user manuals. A folder for Windows apps. A folder called "extras" containg Adobe app and another WD app. A folder called "bin" containing more apps and A folder called "locale".

I was hoping to see just a blank drive. Can I delete all this and just use as a basic drive or would deleting it be a foolish action? TIA
Yes you can delete or format the drive if you do not wish to use any of the included software or apps. I use the free Acronis backup software
