20TB ?!
Queue the caveats...
Yeah i'm sure that'll be 20TB raw - but £20/raw TB is still pretty darn good!
Do we know what drives are inside?
Sorry what is this? Cloud or actual drive?
Picture shows reds. I’m torn I have a server but something like this as a standby to back up all my media would be ideal. One WD red 10tb drive on its own is around £300 so this is a good buy, the caddy and one drive would be more than the cost of this so would be getting one drive free. Ideal to just pull the reds and use in server.

Ebuyer sell the empty EX2 for £139. I imagine you can get £100 on eBay
I pulled the trigger, as some-one said £600 just for the drives and then you can sell the Device itself to get some money back...great deal
how do EX2s compare to my DUOs ?
also pulled the trigger. I have an old NAS with 1TB mirrored and its no longer supported. So this will be overkill in some ways - but to auto backup all our photos and videos as a family onto this from 6 ipads and 7 iphones will be great! (plus the usual other media). Unlikely to use for Plex
I would guess it's 2*10tb so if mirror them you'll get a bit less than 10Tb usable. Could probably set it up as a single large drive - but why would you.

Still a good deal

Duo is just drives in a RAID USB enclosure. The EX2s are NAS devices. Disks are the same.
Hot just ordered
Likewise taken a punt on this with the spend more £20 offer (hopefully), a 10TB NAS drive is circa £250-300 with the Red's being at the high end of this scale so great value. Going to use it as storage backup so not fussed about media streaming but will replace the unit with a Synology or newer WD unit if it doesn't work well.
Can these run a BitTorrent client and PLEX Server?
BitTorrent I don't know but Plex is a NO, this review has info on the Plex position and why it doesn't work youtube.com/wat…0zg

Is it a matter of raw power? I see Plex can be installed but never tried it to see how performant it is
Details are in the video , apparently Plex doesnt support the processor anymore and whilst it was possibe to install Plex it was unuseable

If you have another Plex server on your LAN, for example another NAS or an Nvidia Shield, you could still watch media that is stored on this.

A bit of a poor show them not ensuring support though, I’m sure it’s capable of it if the software was a bit more considered
Showing as £616 and then £40 delivery for me....
