There were around 10 of them left in there.

2 drives Also it's a second generation one. Checked by the model number.
Heat added. Great intro to nas but if you want to get serious look at synology
So this is a 4Tb per drive or 2x 2Tb?

will take some 3rd party apps including plex but will not transcode

support.wdc.com/kno…513

shame me there is no music player and wonder how long picture thumbs take to generate. Synology are dog slow....
The 3tb ones in pool were marked up as £145 got a chap to scan and was £72.50 picked a box up to buy one and no stock i was a bit p%ssed off i said you have 3 box “ oh we have to have empty boxes out the manager said we have to”!!!!! Not happy
The f***?
Nice find OP!
Bargain! Heat added!
This would be nice with openmediavault on it. Debian based NAS controlled remotely via GUI. I use mine for Plex, transmission, sickbeard, couchpotato. Has loads of other plugins (if it runs on Debian you can run it basically).

It's 2 x 2tb. Otherwise it would have been 8tb lol
I think with the mirror line you get you use 2tb only hence mirror as data is backed to both drives
Can someone correct me if I am wrong

Yes Mahmouddiaa, that's right, "Dual hard drives set to Mirror Mode (RAID 1) automatically duplicates your centralized content for twice the data backup protection." See Western Digital's website for more info
Do you have the product code or receipt pic

Do you have the product code or receipt pic

On the receipt it only states Cloud Mirror. I don't think it will be any help to you. Don't really have a product code unfortunately.

Got a couple of these already, but not heard of this... thanks for the tip 🏼
Probably a price error and a one off sale.

Doubt its nationwide and I doubt they had any more than 2 on the shelf.

They had 10 on the shelf
I would be wary of these .. they are very basic. Somebody said you can use plex on these? HA! its in the store, it can be installed, but it wont run. As a basic file box its probably ok, but the processor inside is like a chloformed snail, with a bad leg.
I have one sitting in a cupboard. Keep the disks and use the Nas as a formicarium .

So I drove 30 minutes to the Ponders end Tesco branch an hour after you posted this....

That particular shelf was only for one off reduced/damaged items and the manager checked the normal stock for me anyways and found it to the normal price.....

So yeah 10 in stock....

Ps. Also checked Beckton Tesco branch and it was normal price there too

I'll buy just to strip out the RED drives if that's what they are.

They weren't damaged but they were reduced. And there was 10 of them when I've taken a picture. They were on all of the shelf's from top to bottom. Sealed new, guess they've gone quick. Should have taken a better picture when been there.33170010-bSOl4.jpg
Do you have to use WD Hdd's in this or can you use other brands (like seagate/toshiba etc)?
PS. Yes I know WD Red HDD'S are better than most others.
Best in my local was a 2TB My Cloud for £62.50, 3TB for £72.50 and 4TB for £100. This 4TB version was still £147
