I tend to think anything new at £25/MB or less is a good deal.

Out of interest, did they replace it with a new hard drive?, or they did a 'like for like', and gave you a recertified one back instead?.

I'm curious. :-)
It was a recert to start with and assume replaced with a recert

Fair enough, as I assumed, but wasn't 100% certain, that's cool.

Fortunately I must have had a full mind this afternoon; because when I went back to Sainsburys, Whitechapel there were still 3 blue 2TB drives there at £50, so after I bought one there should be two left. Various WD external drives of other sizes also reduced there too; but I'm not commenting on whether these others are worth buying.
