Not all £79.99 orange 1 went up to £90.56 otherwise I would have pull the trigger on this. Wanted all the 6 colours.

why is the orange one pricier?
Bit anecdotal, but I have 5 WD drives ranging from 2TB - 4TB, all purchased in the last 24 months.

2 of which have failed, one partial loss of data (refurb) and one complete loss of data (brand new under warranty).

Price is good, but my personal experiences means I'm not likely to by another WD anytime soon!
They were £75 plus 20% off on amazon warehouse but went pretty quick

Time to be like the big boys and back up data you value. Then as long as your drives are under warranty you’ll have nothing to worry about.

Didn't say I never backed them? That's why I have 5-6 drives. Considering the drives were not even used daily, I was just commenting on their overal (un)reliability.
Obscenely good price!

Yer I have 2 on the way for just North of £50 each. Although probably return one depending on if somebody has used it as a football before sending it back to Amazon
How are these compared to Seagate?

Buy another drive and back up all the photos again. Just try and make sure you have copies of photos on at least two separate drives.

Seriously can't put a price on family photos.
People will always review/comment if they have something negative but rarely if it's positive. In light of that from all the reviews off amazon etc it seems the seagate ones tend to fail a little bit more than WD. There's always a chance that your drive could fail due to the nature of the HDD and all the movement inside.

I agree with this. Not only do I have them on hard drives but I have them on Google Drive too. I think I pay £7.99 a month for 2GB which does well to keep my mind at rest.
Will it work with Apple Mac as well?

Yes it will work fine, you just need to format it once when you first use it.
Seems to have gone up to £85 ish?
