This was £65.99 few days ago....

If you have time machine, everything posted here at some point it was cheaper. Yes it was blue from JL it was possibly wrong price and lasted only couple of minutes.

Don't think it was a price error and lasted quite a while.
I'm sure few people have ordered including me
Its still available in store for the same price even if showing unavailable online

I wish I had seen the original post so could at least have purchased one!
Tempted, but we don't know if the PS5 will accept these hard drives If they have SSDs
western digital drives have usb ports soldered to the drive board making them problematic to troubleshoot when the usb port becomes faulty so stay clear away from them.
Is this bus powered?
Amazon have price matched
Had one at £76.99 from Currys in March. Better go for new edition with USB type C port now.
I bought a 4TB My Cloud Home bnib, with receipt, from a local seller at the weekend, for £60. I've been transferring all my music to it and its 2/3rds full already. So this looks like a decent addon for that.

Yup, no need for any additional power cable.
Are these reliable? Looking for an external hard drive for the ps4

Yep!, I've heard similar (a few times) to this comment, in the past too ...

Hmmmmmmmm, so, what of WD's warranty on their own products then, etc?.

How would WD's guarantee work out, IF you encounter (literal) 'technical issues' on account of such thing's also?, or ...

Because that sounds MIGHTY bad?!, huh?, thanx.
How does this compare to:

amazon.co.uk/dp/…CN5

Need something reliable to store family photos/ videos.
I have one of these and they get slow the more you fill them up. It also has a custom non-sata drive so you can't open these and put them in pc.

Shingled media. If you leave it powered but idle for a while it will drain the random access areas on the drive and performance will be restored. It has nothing to do with % full as much as how rapidly you try to fill them.

I'm on the fence about a newer external for my ps4 or a 1tb ssd upgrade. Can't justify a pro with ps5 around the proverbial corner.

I think I took the last one, but they will have more soon

WD drives are the best out there, i've never had a single issue with any of their drives & some are older than 8 years, still running perfectly. Other drives i've had, such as seagate,, didn't even last a day. Toshiba & Samsung have also had issues with clicking drive heads, but WD, no problems, ever. That's why I won't buy anything else, since they far outlast anything else out there, from my experience.

Stock lasted about 10 minutes.
Drive that have usb port soldered into the board - avoid like fire, in case of any fault there's not much you can do and service center will charge like for data recovery (you're looking at over 200£). If you want to store any sensible data on it, look for soomething else. That's why they go cheap, don't buy it, maybe WD will have to do something about it.
