Voted hot, but as usual with Argos deals...no stock for delivery or pick from any of the 10 closest stores
Found some stock in Argos Aberdare Cardiff, Pembroke Dock London Road, Ebbw Vale, Haverfordwest, Derby Kingsway Retail Park Argos and EE, Holyhead, Argos Whitley Bay in Sainsburys, Edinburgh North Bridge, London Colney Inside Sainsburys.

Sorry about that, I knew it wouldn't help many, but would rather post and help people on the HUKDs site than not post at all. Obvs I reserved my own one first

Sainsbury's in Whitley Bay has stock, if anyone's near there.
My local has stock - thanks for this! Been needing a high capacity drive for backups and music.
One in stock 167 miles away from me
Never reluctantly post anything here. Just go for it. There will be at least 1 person who will benefit from it (like me in this case). So thank you for posting!
Hi all, does anyone know if this portable drive can partition in 2, one part for a Xbox one and the other for personal use? Has anyone tried something similar?
This makes me think "Why don't they make an Xbox 1S in red". Not sure why...
Holyhead store has one
I have a code for collection at Argos in Pembrokeshire Retail Park (SA2). PM me if you want it. First come first served I guess the most fair way.
haha buggerall in Northern Ireland as well - certainly always worth a punt mate to those lucky barstools that can get their hands on one in an Argos near them
hey there's one 226 miles away!

Unfortunately not, the Xbox will format the entire drive to use as storage.
FWIW one, at least in Sainsburys Faversham in Kent (apparently)
The nearest stock to me is in Holyhead 247 miles away. Think I'll pass on this one.

I think Holyhead is the only store with any stock in the whole country!
Thanks a lot, picked one up in Edinburgh yesterday.

Many thanks. Good to know. I tried to look for this info everywhere and was impossible to find.

Appreciate that

Closest one is 145 miles away
anyone know if this can be used for external hardrive on a PS4 pro?
Gutted nothing in Caerphilly or Cardiff for me.
Apparently the nearest store to me with stock is Holyhead, right in the north-west corner of Wales... I live in Bournemouth! Think I'll have to pass on this one...

Yes it will work. Has to be usb 3.0 and minimum 256gb. Most it will support is 8tb
You know when it flashes up ordered 11 Times in the last 48 hours that there wasn’t that many in the first place.

Good luck getting one as there seems to be minimal stock and only in certain places
Thanks for the post. None near me though. Shame!
Another publicity stunt. 20 local stores checked and NO STOCK.
These are very reliable if force cooled, but die quickly without adequate airflow
No Amazon price match? I need a 4tb for my ps pro.. my 2tb external and 1tb internal are full! Out of curiosity does anyone know if I can transfer the 2tb data over on pc to a new drive? Thanks

"Out of curiosity does anyone know if I can transfer the 2tb data over on pc to a new drive?".

If you mean as in Data Files alone, then sure, a simple drag & drop (copy & paste) method should more then suffice?. :-)

But if you're referring to System Files instead, and/or as well?, and ...

Then dedicated backup software may be more where you should be at?. :-)

Most of these External Hard Drive's (be it the Portable variety, or bog standard External Desktop variety instead), have their own versions of dedicated backup software of one ilk or another built 'within' them these days? (Seagate Portable Hard Drives definitely do, and even Sandisk Flash Drive's have these, lol).

But all that is neither here nor there, as there's plenty of dedicated backup softwares out there on the Internet anyway? (be your preference a free one, an open source one, a paid for one, a heavily subsidised one, a freeium one, a freepay one, or whatever?. :-)

Check and see ...

Is that right?. :-(

I got this exact same one!, got it last year though (not used it as yet though, lol), but from Maplin ...

Hmmmmmmmmm, for it's eventual intended purpose, whacking it into the side of a Tablet or Laptop etc, I'm assuming that that' won't be going overboard enough to therefore kill it? (but still?). :-(

I've had many Seagate Portable Hard Drive's over the Year's (without exaggerating in any way, I'm talking about around 10-10+?), and NONE of them have gone belly up on me like this? (on account of small things like this?), or ...

So what gives?.

Or am I failing (no pun intended, lol) to see the bigger picture ...

Will curry’s price match in store?

Hehehehehe, if only they could?.

Curry's/PC World don't stock the 4TB versions of these Portable Hard Drive's unfortunately? (1TB, and 2TB versions only, if I'm not mistaken?).

So clearly isn't going to happen ...

But could have otherwise come in handy though I guess. :-)
