Are these the drives the have millions of refurbished, which they try to sell very cheap, with no confidence to offer any more than 6 month warranty?

It may have 6 months warranty (basically WD really have no idea how the drive has been treated before being rejected by the purchaser) but then that’s why it’s cheap.

4gb external second hand drive for about £50 for example. 6 months warranty, and their no quibble 30 day return policy, should be enough time to run a thorough batch of drive tests.
