I’m sorry but I cannot endorse this deal. Thanks
The next best price added, not by me, is from Scan on ebay, which I did not add, as its the same thing from the same company.. but more money! The other 2 with stock are as I said £1700 & £2200 to buy
After the recent enough prime deal I couldn’t justify it to myself to pay this price.

I was about to say, just 2 weeks ago, there was a deal for 24TB for around £650? And the 40TB one for £1239. Given that 24TB was for 650, one can't justify an extra 700 pounds for the 16TB, I'd think. I didn't vote either way just because of the not-so-subtle "advice" to not vote cold. lol.
A serious bit of kit, at a serious price, but loaded with features - wouldn't especially describe as "expensive" though, 40Tb was pretty close to "enterprise" class a couple of years ago and I've been struggling to get anywhere near half full on my 12Tb Nas!

So, for what it's worth, I've voted HOT - with your savings buy a UPS!

Its not a serious bit of kit. It's a soho old fashioned NAS with crap specs at an inflated price.

You can build your own Xeon low powered soc for this price including the drives. Get hold of a unas 800 caee and you have double the drive bays etc.

These things stopped being cool 10 years ago.

He’s referring to the WD My Book Duo 20TB which was £333 on Prime day. I bought the same. Unless you wanted this specific NAS (can’t think why) then it’s not a good deal

The 40tb was around 800-900 at its lowest, I almost went for it.
