Insane that internal drives are more expensive than external even though the externals have the same drives inside. I know this is a NAS optimised drive though, so decent price.
I'm thinking of buying a 4tb wd blue purely for storage backup of all my photos and important files etc... can someone advise if I'm better buying this. Only a few pounds in it.

I'm hoping to run my boot drive off a m2 500gb and also have a 1tb ssd which I'm going to use an an addition back up .

Also not sure If i should just buy a two 2tb wd blue and use them as mirror drivers for failure. My current old wd drive is 10 yrs old now so keen to move stuff before it fails

You should be safe with this, for important files i would err towards the nas spec drives. But if your files are that important dont keep just 1 backup. Consider the house burning down, backup getting corrupted , a virus or any obscure scenerio you can dream up - and build a policy around that!

Before now ive for some weird reason started backing up what was a very partial original.
Took me several months to notice, but when i did i could go back to a version before the weird event that caused half my pictures to vanish.

It all depends on your backup solutions that are in plan. Note that storing purely on RAID 1 in itself is not a backup - if you were to delete or corrupt files, that would affect both drives

Cheaper …Cheaper here:https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/western-digital-wd-red-4tb-internal-hard-drive-8532-at-amazon-spain-82-with-fee-free-card-3355207

I almost purchased from here, in the end I decided I didn't want to go through Spain Amazon and wait. I then played with the Ebay offer and personally rather pay the bit extra which I did - but that's just me

Lol. ..Ah that explains the "you've been hacked" emails I've been getting about someone stating they have been watching me enjoying myself whilst watching porn.. and threatening to expose me unless I send them $800 in bitcoin... I wondered what sort of person would be watching me. Now I know...

I'll go for this then instead of the wd blue. I think I've got cloud storage for most of my pictures anyway. This is just in case Google goes down...
Guys, I want to purchase some bad drives, I know this link is through Ebuyers Ebay store but are they new? Reliable even? I don’t want refurbished HDD’s just in case!
Advice needed!

Ebuyer is a genuine store, I've purchased loads of computer equipment from them over the years. In fact my current 2tb Red drives are from here which I'm now replacing with 4tb ones. These are new, not refurbished.
Heat added, just got £75 off a synology NAS and 2x of these
