3345469.jpgIf you are in the market for still one of the fastest NVMe pci 3.0 SSDs on the market and you need 2TB you may want to consider the deal that Amazon currently has. The performance is similar to the current king of performance: the Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2 TB NVMe only you will pay at least £100 more for the Samsung.

At any other store that I found you will have to pay at least £385 or more. Interestingly enough it is not highlighted as a deal so it could be an error on their side?

How much better is this compared with an Adata sx8200 pro? Picked one up from ebuyer ebay for £165 last week and I'm interested to know why this is almost double the price.

The WD is a little faster but I doubt you will notice it in real life. If your Adata is 2TB then you've got yourself a very good deal. The regular price is around £235 . If your happy with the Adata then I wouldn't change if I were you.

For a quick overview see below.

I see. So this is like the best of the best (970 evo plus competitor) then.

Because of NAND. and what kindd of binned NAND, High end or others. That will effect your SSD performance,How many years, How long can run without any issue, because none of us want lose data and spending time to wait replacement, reinstatll and transfer data.

Maybe use same NAND as Sandisk.

However @jono8 , that is not a like for like comparison.

The ADATA drive there is 512gb versus the 1TB which has double the amount of NAND.

All 512GB drives run slower than their same-line 1TB/2TB counterparts.

All these drives (SX8200, Sabrent, 970, WD Black) will max out the PCIE 3.0 bandwidth at 1-2TB. There is little between them, other than price.
