Hm... 8 tb hdd or xbox one S? I think I'll choose the latter

Great info. I'll put an Xbox in my NAS instead of one of these

Tomorrow I think I'll buy a roof tile instead of a sandwich... because you know they're related too right

I'm running 4x3tb reads in various nas's at the minute. No other drives come close for speed and staying power. Its just a pity I can't justify the cost of this. I've a new avr and xbox one x ahead on my list of priorities.

Nice spot OP. Have a little bit of heat, to help see you through these stormy nights.

Wow, didn't expect such a price drop over the last 12 months.

so buy two... or a backup disk ? these are for a NAS few people run just 1 disk in a NAS ...
4TB is a lot to loose. Hell even 1TB of my pictures is a lot to loose. That's why I have them backed up in 2 places..

I have 2 drives in my NAS and 2 back ups of photos and important documents. I’ve never understood 1 bay NAS

That's alot of money to store some 4K "movies" cough...

I wouldn't trust NASA with my data as you never know where it will end up.
I like to shoot for the moon in life in general but for data I prefer it earthbound.
But with climate change maybe having a backup on Mars wouldn't be a bad idea.
I am looking forward for Elon Musk and his Red Cloud Mars backup data plan.

Ordered have some heat bud.............

Well if you back up your data drive on your pc to a 1 disk NAS you have a backup......

why not do a 4- or 5-disk RAID5 and only lose 1 disk space?
