Thanks OP. Just ordered one for my daughter whose friend has just moved to Australia, so that's the web cam sorted cheapey cheap cheap. Anyone know the cheapest best was to get specch set up so they can talk online - e.g. skype, USB mic?

Thanks in advance and rep for anyone who takes time to answer

Think I've answered my own question. I can use my XBOX headset - I found this online:

I've used my 360 controller with headset on my computer. I looked in audio properties (Vista) and it shows up as a microphone and speaker. In Windows Live Messenger, go to Tools -> Audio and Video Setup, then Step 1: Speaker Setup, pick the Xbox Live headset, for Step 2: Microphone Setup, pick the Xbox Microphone, and if you have a webcam, pick it in Step 3: Webcam Setup. After that, it will be configured to use your 360 headset for chat/voice. There should be similar settings in AIM/Yahoo but I don't use their official clients (I have Pidgin for all my text protocols and Windows Live Messenger for webcam/audio).

Thanks, I'm in for 1. But the JL website doesn't seem to support checkout with Firefox 3.5

poor reviews on play.com

Nice one, I've ordered 3 as they'll make great presents as well as one for me.:-D
