Will have to take my dad to pick one up. I have the smaller compact one which I really like, but have been holding out for this one at a good price, so it's time to buy it I think :-)

Personally I’d say my deal is better seeing as you get poultry roaster and the stainless steel gbs grill but thats up to the sheep of hukd to decide.

This one has a GBS grate too (signified by the Master-Touch GBS in the name).
Additionally all Weber charcoal grills have stainless steel grates (but not all have GBS parts or hinges)

The picture shows a solid plate. Also u may want to check the facts overwise they wouldn’t be showing the additional plate is included.

This will have the stainless gbs as well.
Don't know how useful the poultry roaster is Tbh. Is the new limited edition paint OK now there were real quality issues of the limited edition Red ones a year ago.

I will happily "check the facts" and reiterate my statement. All "Weber Master-Touch GBS" grills have a stainless steel grate with hinges and a hole for GBS accessories. If it has a solid grate then it's not a Master-Touch.

As I said picture shows a solid plate so I’m gonna assume that was one of the bbq they are selling or they have posted the wrong one
It's just a bad picture. If it's listed a GBS BBQ then it has a GBS grate.
Don't get me wrong, the deal you posted is a pretty good price if you want the poultry roaster too but if not, I'd be going for this one
Beginer here - this or gas weber q2200 bbq?
Just had an email that all Weber bbqs and accessories are 30% off at Wyevale.

Personally speaking, you can't beat the flavour of food cooked over coals but I do see the benefit of a gas grill (instant cooking).
I would say get this + a Weber chimney starter. That way you can be cooking in ~20 minutes.
Plus with this you can easily do low and slow cooking/smoking for things like ribs or pulled pork
If you BBQ once or twice a month then coal can work. If, like me, you BBQ a few times a week then Gas all the way baby

This is the older master touch, which has a chrome plated steel gbs grate, the chrome burns off over time or extreme temperatures, then the grate rusts. The stainless steel grate comes with the red limited edition or the newer models.

That poultry roaster is a waste of space, you’d get better results with spatchcock chicken and a tray underneath.

I had no idea the post-2015 Master-Touches weren't stainless steel. Well now I know what I'll be upgrading to when/if my grate rusts.

I agree, a spatchcock cooks very nicely on the Weber kettle (though they're beaten by boneless chicken thighs every time )

I stand corrected by nbgrobbo so I'm sorry for challenging you previously.

You know what, on reflection I'd say it doesn't matter too much which grill you get; as long as you're cooking some good BBQ then all is good!

So mine makes a better deal as you don’t have to buy it all

Pre 2019 standard models weren’t stainless steel, the red limited edition was the first, followed by the new 2019 range. Get a vortex or serious use under anything prior to that and you’re going to have a bit of work to keep it in condition, unlike the stainless steel which just needs a a bit of heat and rub with some tin foil.

Unless anyone one is desperate, I’d wait, current pricing is high, these (limited edition) have been circa £150 end of season previously.

I ‘bbq’ as often as I can (due to laziness and lack of washing up) which is 4-5 times a week, admittedly this is literally just using it to cook food rather than have people over but If you have the starter chimney then it’s as simple as a 2 minute job getting it going.

Pour the coals into chimney, light a lighter cube underneath it then leave it for 20mins.

Admittedly you have to wait 20 mins compared to gas but I wouldn’t say it’s much extra work.
Cold not £3!
Get GoOutdoors to beat the price and save another 10%! I did the same during black Friday last year and they honoured it just fine.

I'm curious if mine is a newer version or older version. I bought via Amazon so not on this deal. Any ideas how to confirm it?

The wheels are the easiest giveaway, if they are all black it’s the special edition or new model, if they have grey inserts it’s the older (still very good) model
I managed to bag a Weber Master Touch in spring colour from Notcutts for £121 with Privilege discount. £134 without. Might be worth having a lookout in your local store as there were other clearance bargains to be had. I did post the deal but for some reason it was taken down by the mods?
