Weber master touch kettle BBQ with searing grate and Weber smoking cook book included.

Been looking at picking up a charcoal BBQ to replace my current Weber spirit 3. Found this which seems to be a fair bit cheaper than other retailers most of which don't include the searing grate or the book...

Obviously only worthwhile if you are a Costco member...

Cheapest I can find online is £229 but that doesn't include the searing grate which apparently is £45 either..

Not a terrible price but there’ll be better deals to be had soon

If by soon you mean when summer is over and no point in buying one then correct.

Been keeping my eye on these for a while. Thanks. Going to pop to my local Costco later to see if they have any. Got an old Weber that's lasted me 10 years. Kept outside and still going strong but needs a new cooking grate. Fancy a new one though.

Yeah that was very cheap, would have bought that if I could have

That said any issues and Costco will just take it back without kicking off which is always handy

B&Q are quite good too! Plus Weber customer service is spot on, so no matter where you buy it from they usually cover it, as they ask for the serial number & they know what month it was manufactured, as people lose / mis place receipts all the time

Agreed. I shot straight down to my local B&Q when that one was posted, but it was sold out already. As pointed out by the op, you get a searing grate with this one. Bought it yesterday and happy

It’s not the newest model AFIK. I think it must be the end of the previous years with a couple of freebies thrown in to clear out old stock
Because it came with the searing grate I was wondering if it was the premium one, then would have been a good offer.

It is the premium but it hasn’t got the hinged lid like the new model
Costco had these on the website until last week as have been this price since January - £199.99 with free deivery. But they sold out online so removed the item. In-store only now.
Worked today Croydon. 13 in stock (I asked).
Includes seargrate.
I also had a look a few weeks past in store but didn’t realise what model and the sear grate was included, I did almost buy this below for £190 in store. Feels solid and made of heavy/cast material, it does take up some space so I didn’t bother but it looks a well made bbq. And there’s Costco guarantee if any problems. Might help someone who likes a traditional style setup.

Really good price. They are shifting the previous year version because the new one with the hinged lid lid, heat plate, and P shaped vents. Personally I think this model is the better one, many people have issues with the new lid (tip: put the lid on then tighten the nuts) and the heat plate and P vents are only worthwhile if you are serious about smoking.

Before buying one of these though think about the space needed and whether you would actually use the GBS system. If not, the 47cm version would probably be a better RRP buy. Go for the 'Original' if you want want to try a bit of smoking (also purchase a hinged grate £32). If you just want to do burgers, sausages, chicken pieces, fish and veg, then the 47cm Compact would be perfect.

Experience: I own a 47cm Original and a 57cm Limited Edition.

Forgot to say, if that £149 price ever pops up again - BUY IT. Do not even think about it!!

That’s for your input mpressive, I wasn’t sure to go for this or the smoke hollow. I went for this as the smoke hollow is a monster and too big for my needs but looks a great buy for £200.
They only had one of these left at the Watford store I got mine from
