My thoughts exactly. I wanted yesterday’s Weber deal without success. Saw this and thought it may appeal to someone.
Big saving, but still overpriced.

Why would you not want one?
Apart from having it in the garden, any real advantage over just cooking in the oven?
Great deal tho, love Weber bbqs
Good reduction I guess, but I wouldnt buy one (got a decent-ish gas BBQ on the patio)

NB - when I used to live in a flat I used a large George Foreman grill with an extension lead as a makeshift BBQ on the balcony (I think it was about £50-ish)

.... Just saying!
It’s the kind of thing I guess you would have if you had a penthouse apartment with a large balcony/patio area where you aren’t allowed open flame or gas products
looks odd - what's with the massive stand?

Despite the price reduction even I'm not tempted! Would prefer to try one of the Philips indoor grills.
That’s an expensive looking George Foreman.

Will stick to charcoal and fall back to gas when I need to. I don't trust electric outside in our 'dry' summers...

You will get a bbq flavour that's missing from oven cooked food.

Nope. GFs have solid cooking plates so you don't get the fat falling through and burning off the elements. That's what gives you the smokey bbq flavour.

Judging by the price drop, I suspect I am not the only one with this view.

Maybe but I can't see anywhere else selling it for anywhere near this price so maybe not...

GFs have there place but, like this weber, are not for me. My point with the GF is that you cook on a solid plate unlike the weber where the fat fall through onto the heating elements, burns off make that distinct smokey bbq flavour. Yes, the GF is a lot cheaper but they don't do the same thing.
