Weber Spirit Original E-310 Gas BBQ down to £480 @ Riverside Garden Centre

I'm after a weber BBQ and have been watching this for a while. It's normally around £584, and falls to £500 once every few months. Now down to £480.

This is the better version, not the Classic that John Lewis has. This one has cast iron grills.

Got my e610 for not much more

Doesn't that literally cost twice as much or more? If you got it for not much more that's impressive

I’m looking for a genesis E310 II. Couldn’t find any good deal.
Isn't this a crazy amount of money to pay for a BBQ? Even if you manage to use it 100 times over its lifetime, which seems extremely ambitious given the weather in this country, that's still quite an expense before you've even thought about the cost of the gas, etc.

I just can't see how anyone can justify the cost of something like this unless you're earning over £100k a year, although I don't understand why people on low/middle incomes are walking round with £800 phones that they're paying £50 a month contracts for either...

😬😬😬
Consider a proper charcoal bbq before you spend this sort of money on an outdoor grill. In my opinion...
Riverside are great for BBQ supply. I still prefer charcoal over Gas, but that deal is hot Good find from a trustworthy supplier

Managed to pick up a good deal on Black Friday, the thing is massive tho! Regarding the gas v charcoal debate, these bbqs certainly close the gap, and their convenience ensures you get more use out of one

Weber are the top brand for BBQs and are excellent quality. I have one of their charcoal bbqs but bought a different brand for gas. It’s the same as buying Apple, BMW and so on - you’re paying a big premium to have the best product. There’s always other brands that are almost as good and much cheaper, but people want the best or want to show off that they can afford the best.
Been looking for a good Weber deal for a while. Even the tired old ones fetch good money on eBay. This one also has the solid door and electronic igniter compared to the classic, in addition to the cast iron grills.

If I get 100 uses out of it for £4.80 a go + gas then I'd be happy. Even happier if I get £100+ resale when it's on its last legs. In any case better than spending half on something that lasts a quarter of the time before rusting away.
what else would you need to buy if you don't have a shed and want to leave this outdoors so it doesn't rust?

£479 @John Lewis …£479 @John Lewis https://www.johnlewis.com/weber-spirit-classic-e-310-3-burner-gas-bbq/p231878339

Not the same BBQ, different version.

JohnLewis stocks the "Classic" version, not the "Original". The classic does not have cast iron grills. The Original is normally significantly more expensive than the classic!

I'll be keeping it outside. It's good quality so it shouldn't rust easily, but I'll be using a waterproof BBQ cover. Branded weber covers cost about £80, but amazon has covers that are perfectly fine for about £15-20.
