The one on the link only shows 186 when you go on the iPhone App Store, via google search it has thousands, probably different numbers on iPad.

Yes that could be it - either ways it gets nice reviews everywhere.

You have to put proxy details in for this adblocker, hmmm no thanks.
Just put it on mine- hey ho:;
Adguard is the best ad-blocking solution i've used on any platform. Use the Adguard DNS servers on your desktop in conjunction with uBlock and you'll hardly see a single ad.

Adguard on mobile is just as good
Just install brave browser. It's chrome browser with add blocker built it. It's cross platform to. Works perfectly

Advuard only blocks ads on safari though doesn’t it? Weblock is system wide but only when on Wi-Fi

if you get the premium version of adguard on iOS, it creates a local VPN on the phone that funnels all the ads through that so you're also blocked system wide.

the only downside is that if you're playing a game and you voluntarily choose to watch an ad to get more lives or credits or anything like that, you literally have to go and disable adguard to be able to do that because it's so effective.

Isn't the proxy settings so that data goes through the app to filter ads?
Much prefer using a custom DNS that queeries AdGuard. Always works. No worries of the VPN dropping. Also means I can actually use a VPN at the same time as blocking ads.

The proxy settings will be to send all your internet traffic to their servers where they will remove the ads. If you are happy sending all your data to them then that’s fine.

Their website says otherwise.

Agreed. Generally blocking everything is not good for the industry. Having the power to decide which projects I want to support drives quality information!

Is this better than Crystal ad blocker?
I use Adblock plus
In app purchase, one time? Any more subscription?
I used a free call blocker recently which was very annoying... removed to get rid of
is there a good android version?

Is this better than Crystal ad blocker?

crystal was the first out of the gate as the main content blocker but lost a lot of users when they announced they'd start allowing "acceptable" ads. i still stand by my opinion that adguard is the best out of all of them

I use Adblock plus

as does everyone who doesn't bother to google "most efficient adblocker" and install uBlock Origin ..
Not allowing me to download

Plenty but depends on what kind of adblock you're looking for. Adblock for web browsing only? Or adblock everywhere including in other apps. There are multiple different types of adblocking methods for both non-rooted and rooted phones, rooted phones got better adblocking tools like Adaway doesn't require any VPN or running in the background. For Samsung phones only with Knox they got Adhell 2 which doesn't require root and is the same as Adaway.

For non-rooted Android phones simple adblocked web browsers are Brave browser or Samsung Beta Browser (inside its options have to enable adblock extension).
